CBA Related Facts Every Fan Needs to Know!

There seems to be a lot of misinformation floating around about the CBA negotiation and related terms. I'm not an expert by any stretch nor do I intend to represent myself as such. However, I do absolutely believe that it is in our best interest as fans to be properly informed if we have even the slimmest of chance of someone listening to our opinion. So below you will hopefully find some useful information to help inform your opinion. To the best of my knowledge, all of this information is c

NHL Fan Spending LOCKOUT!

NHL Fan Spending Lockout Pledge I pledge to not spend a single penny on anything NHL related during any season where a single game is lost due to a work stoppage of any kind. If an entire season is lost due to a work stoppage of any kind, I pledge to not spend a single penny on anything NHL related for the entire next season. If you don't play, I won't pay! ..... If you agree, take the pledge! Spread the word! Use the graphics! (Just don't claim any of it as your own work!)

Luongo Misses Out - The Ultimate Reebok Team

So what does their list of players look like? From Sidney Crosby and Pavel Datsyuk to Dion Phaneuf and (currently) our very own Roberto Luongo, Reebok’s list of endorsed players would give most All-Star teams a run for their money. Without further ado, here’s my top Team Reebok: CLICK HERE

Most Improved Teams This Offseason

Dallas Stars When Joe Niewendyk said he was going all out on free agents he wasn't joking. Niewendyk signed veteran offensive forwards Ray Whitney and Jaromir Jagr. He also traded pest Steve Ott and depth d-man for offensive center Derek Roy. The one move that I thought was risky at the time was trading Mike Ribeiro for Cody Eakin but it was probally to clear some capspace. Minnesota Wild This is obvious. They signed Zach Parise and Ryan Suter. No more explanation needed. Car

Bunkering Down - How to Survive the NHL Lockout

Our Alex Warton writes how to survive the impending NHL Lockout. With the threat of a lockout approaching, there is a very real chance that the upcoming NHL season will be reduced, or (with dread I type this) cancelled. Obviously every single Ice Hockey, Canucks and NHL fan wishes that the season is able to be started on time and that no games will be lost. However talk of the lockout has been a constant and will be constant until the situation is resolved. Read More

2012-2013 season predictions:eastern conference

2012-2013 season standings and reasons 1.New Yorkk Rangers(wins Atlantic Division) -with the addition of nash they now have the best top 6 in the league and an extremely dangerously offensive team. but they have a average bottom 6. and defense although good its still not as well rounded or as deep as other teams. they might be better than the canucks on paper but there division and conference has gotten better so i dont see them winning the presidents trophy. 2. Boston Bruins(wins North Eas

5 Players Who Will Breakout Next Season (If There Is One)

Anders Lindback- Tampa Bay Lightning Lindback was traded to Tampa where he will become their starter. I'm expecting a huge year from Lindback, and Tampa will he will have one or they can say goodbye to the playoffs. Oliver Ekman Larson- Phoenix Coyotes Ekman Larson is already a stud at the age of 21. Playing with Keith Yandle will help his production and on a weak offensive team like Phoenix he is bound to get lots of ice time and PP time. Jamie Benn- Dallas Stars Benn was a

2012-2013 season predictions:western edition

2012-2013 season standings + reasoning west: 1. Vancouver Canucks(wins NW division and presidents trophy) -we are the deepest team in the west, if not the whole league and our goaltending and defense are great. we just need to stay healthy and we have another presidents trophy due to our weak division(tho the teams have improved) and many eastern teams getting better but western teams getting worse. 2. St. Louis Blues(wins central division) -a great coach and defensive system along wi

Realistic Players I would want from a Luongo deal

FLORIDA Shawn Matthias Matthias would give the Canucks a more offensive minded 3rd line center (like Hodgson was). He could also fill in on the 2nd while Kesler is out and play as the 2nd PP center. TORONTO Clarke MacArthur MacArthur would give the Canucks a solid 3rd line offensive winger who could play on the PP. MacArthur would not be the solution to the offence but if they sign Doan: D.Sedin-H.Sedin-Doan Booth-Kesler-Burrows MacArthur-Lapierre/Malhotra-Higgins Kass

Signings, Trades. And Canucks still have some options.

So Nash, Weber and even Versteeg have been signed, or are nearly there. So what do the Canucks have left? Since this Doan situation started, I had thought it could be possible to get him through free agents. And get Lupul in a trade for Luongo. Or Versteeg in a trade for Luongo. How ever, Versteeg got signed by Florida. Another thing I would like to see would be either Toews or Sharp coming to Vancouver for Luongo. But who else is out there? Who would you like to see?
