MG needs to look at the players available now and not next year! I know Canucks management are taking a good look at Doan! But what if we cant sign him! we need a different look up front. Thoughts?!?

That would be so ideal if the Canucks could land both of them. I think at that point they would consider moving Booth and Raymond. I think Morrow-Kesler-Doan would be one of the hardest lines to play against in the NHL. I could see them all reaching at least 50 points. That is a line that will show up in playoffs.

I think that MG could get something done to get Morrow, and sign Doan. This would give the Canucks that much needed grit up front, while not sacrificing any size and grit in return. Morrow has been shopped around and what is Dallas hurting for- Defense! I know this may sound ridiculous to other people but what about Ballard + a pick? Would that be overpayment for Morrow? If that doesn't work maybe Ballard + a roster player? Or a prospect? I think that MG could get this to work if he got to chatting with Dallas.

Signing Doan would bring that big right handed power forward that would Oh so beautiful on the first line. He's putting up 50+ points with Phoenix, can you imagine the work that would happen with the Sedins? I mean Bitz was scoring with the Sedins. So a player that already can score without two elite players on the line would produce with or without them, and his stats would only improve with Sedins.

Adding two gritty players that play their heart and soul out every night, would bring what the Canucks are lacking. I like it.

Not going to lie but its not as easy as waving a magic wand in the air to get what you want....

not trying to insult but im pretty sure MG has already thought of the possibility and i highly doubt he hasn't already made an effort to Inquire for either player...but again its not as easy as it seems.

No one said it was easy... but bigger trades have happened! I don't think anyone can wave a magic wand around and get what they want.. but you can make trades! I've read that morrow does want to stay in Dallas! but! he did say if the team wanted to trade him he would go! He doesn't want to stand in the way of the teams needs. I think if we really want him! we could get him! no player is untouchable.

Honestly, anything is possible with the Canucks in terms of signing and trading for good players (that are available). The Canucks have a reputation of treating their players well, are a very strong team, and are located in a very nice city. Any player that wants to win a cup in the next couple years will consider the Vancouver Canucks. What might hold players back is that they might get reduced ice time on such a strong squad which can lead to their next contract being lower than if they light it up on a mediocre NHL team.

I've been wanting to get Morrow for a while now. Him and Doan would be amazing additions to the Canucks. I'd do Ballard + Sauvé + a 2nd for Morrow and not look back.
