"Ehhhhhhhh, Vancouver vs Colorado, tough one here Ron, real tough for Vancouver. Yeah, keep laughing Ron, I know you don't like those Jonny's. Anyways, couple up and comers here, good canadian kids on both sides eh but that Macrimmind is gonna be hot after getting his nose rubbed up in Drysaddle and Connie's jocks the other night. And that Cabbage Maker kid they got on D looking good for the show, I coached a good kid like once, Ron, you might not have heard of him, Orr maybe you did.. Anyway. Avs will be starting their 7th string goalie so that pretty much guarantees Vancouver won't score more than a goal on the 75 shots they take, add that to the five good Canadian kids they got on IR, kids that play hockey like it matters.. it's not looking good . Book it 4-1 Colorado. Expecting real big things from Landofscrod, Maker and my boy Macrimmind, from Coal Harbour. They know hockey almost as well as you know how to size men's pants, Ron, by looking at butts n junk, Ron. Now put your shirt back on dammit16 points

Need Beagle back ASAP. This team will look much grittier with Ferland, Rousell, Beagle back.15 points

Kevin Bieksa might be the best panelist on HNIC....been only 3 mins into it? Guy knows his game and can still dish it out with the best chirps ever.15 points

My 2 cents for what it's worth. - Good: - Bo, I think Green is doing a Torts impression riding this guy way too hard in terms of minutes. I get it that Beagle and Sutter are hurt, but play Gaudette, Petey, and Graovac a bit more. Still puts on his work boots and keeps working hard. - Virtanen, He's getting better even as the team has been struggling. Whats Green's issue with not playing him in the 3rd period or OT is a mystery to me. I think he's earned it. - Gaudette. Green seems to want to shelter him, yet he keeps producing. 6 points in 10 games. Plays wing or centre. And he plays with energy. - JT Miller. Ok worth a 1st rounder. Almost a point a game. What impresses me is he plays everywhere well. Boards, slot, crashes the net. Can we clone him? - Petey. #1 on the score parade. I think he's facing more opposition by other teams, but still amazing for a sophomore year. - Brock. Above average. Speed is getting better. Starting to shoot more. Is turning into a complete player, passing, getting physical. Hope like Petey he just gets better. - Hughes. Started out on fire. But 12 points in 19 games for a rookie d-man is pretty damn good. Still learning. Green is being very selective on his deployment. - Average: - Edler. One minute he's world beater. Next minute he looks beaten. Not sure if it's too much ice time? Or they want too much from him? - Leivo. Words fail me on why Green gives him such plum assignments but won't give Jake a chance. He works hard but seems to cough up the puck as much as he retrieves. Does have 9 points. - Pearson. Considering how he started, average is good, and he's getting better. - Myers. Sort of up and down. Needs to learn when to jump in, when to pass, and when to shoot. But I'm fine with him. - Schaller. Given how last year went, it seems Schaller and Leivo swapped jerseys. Leivo is snake bit, and Schaller is the spark plug. - Benn, Reminds me of Willie Mitchell. Solid stay at home d-man. Showed a bit of feistiness last game. I like it. - Tanev. Dogged by injuries, still gets out there and blocks shots. As Bieska said "Cant you just block with your shin guards like everyone else?". - Stetcher. Another guy I want to do well. But I'm thinking he's expendable long term with Woo, Rafferty, Juolevi in the pipeline. I'm not ranking wounded players: Motte, Sutter, Beagle, Ferland. But we sure miss them already. - Bad - Baer. I want the guy to make it. But it looks like concussions have seriously derailed his career. Maybe he needs a fresh start somewhere else? - Eriksson. Everyones favourite $6 million dollar whipping boy. He's playing better. But MacEwen or Graovac will give just as much help with more work ethic. Seriously 10 games, not even an assist? Send him to Utica for the rest of the season. Goalies: Markstrom: Great in October. I think losing is Dad is effecting him. I know that goes. I was sort in a daze for 2 weeks when I lost my Dad. Hopefully gets back to being sharp. Demko: Wow....even games where he got scored on, it wasn't really his fault. Good positioning, doesn't get rattled. Goalie of the future. Incomplete: Sautner Graovac, MacEwen. I like Green but his decisions make me scratch my head. If the team misses the playoffs, then maybe look for a replacement. Teaching work ethic is great. Not using your players be effective as they can be seems to be an issue. Sorry for the long read.15 points

Is there a legal way to follow the Canucks without supporting Rogers Sportsnet? I just cancelled my Sportsnet Now because of the Don Cherry issue (I thought Don should have retired years ago but that was complete garbage) but I would still like to see or hear the Canucks games.10 points

TG got us a point on this one - his decisions both to put out the second unit even though the first was fresh and to pull Demko with 3:30 to go had an impact. Cue the guys that think we need a new coach. Had a monster third period (again) - McKinnon, well he’s a monster too.10 points

I’d take Pettersson over Makar, even in a redo. We needed a #1 centre. We have one now. And we got Hughes the following year. So all is good.10 points

This team misses Tyler Motte, big time. He is is the motor, that gets the team going. He is a big time underrated part of this club.10 points

Yet this game went to OT, and we ultimately lost. When the kids start feeling hot, he puts them on the bench to start? Hughes would have been on MacKinnon. Not uncommon for Petey Boeser OR hughes to cause a turnover even IF they lost the faceoff.10 points

I've had to turn down an invite to two games in a row now. I'm pretty much ready to riot (gently). If you see a mad woman downtown taking free newspapers out of the box then throwing them into the air? You saw nothing. I NEVER say no to a game. This is serious.10 points

Was checking through reddit and found an interesting tidbit - s'posedly after the game last night vs Stars Bo stayed out on the ice to sign autographs and take photos with some of the military. Someone from the military said he never left the ice until all of the military did and how much they appreciated it. Things we don't hear about - makes you wonder what other good things we hear nothing about. The Avs - I think it will be on hell of a game. I'm not 100% convinced we can pull this one off - maybe though. And like many of you - play MacEwan - he's here and he sure as heck can't be worse that LE. And speaking of LE how long do you think it is before something shakes loose there - he's not really hurting the team but he is holding a roster spot. Gonna get interesting when Rous, Motte and Ferland come back7 points

Excited to see the Canucks wearing the Flying Skate jerseys again. However, I would have preferred seeing them wear the white ones over the black ones, similar to how white was considered to be the primary colour for home jerseys during that era. Markstrom’s retro mask also looks cool:7 points

Going to the game. 1st game in year and half, hopefully we see a line brawl. Not asking for much.7 points
