as a teacher, I have to say, I disagree with you. I see kids, in grade 11, with full time jobs, helping at home and still keeping their grades at a decent level to get into uni. I see grade 7's all day every day and I see them, for the most part, happy, willing to work and a joy to be around.

No wonder you're so miserable. You hate everything.

On a somewhat related note, I got a distress signal on MSN tonight from my 12-year old neighbor. His sister is having a birthday party (just 16) and the parents are out. A few drunk kids there. I played some video games with the kid to keep him company throughout, while half the people there were impressed that somebody my age was over there, and the other half wanted me out because they were pretty embarassed, particularly his sister, since I used to babysit them.

I guess I still am in a way.

Wow, so much violence. Kids should know better than go out and drink with other kids at the back of a school after midnight. It just spells danger.

I agree....my daughter's 17 but knows not to be hanging around at night because it can lead to trouble. So much going on these days...it just isn't worth it. You don't even have to be doing anything wrong...just end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Scary world we live in.

Yea, I mean I don't even know how kids have the guts to hang around at such places, in the dark...I am only 16 myself, and am scared of going outside to grab something from my dad's car at night. The stars scare me.

That's a little like blaming a rape victim because her skirt was too short, no? They were kids. they snuck a beer behind the school. Who hasn't? Case of wrong place, wrong time for sure...but they didn't stab themselves.

They're was poll at Frank Hurt and more then 60% people smoke. I wouldnt trust my kids at that school.
