Hacker Alert!!!
My iPhones screen has a deadspot in it so I'm bringing it to the apple store in Vancouver and does anyone know if they'll accept it to be repaired even if it has been jailbroken and unlocked previously? I'll probably restore it to factory settings before I bring it to the store. Its a 2G iPhone if that helps.

I am pretty sure they would take it. Isn't the unlocking a firmware update? Watch them lock it again to original network it was on.

It was unlocked for any sim card but I hope they don't update the firmware.

I'd suck it up and buy a new one so they don't call the cops on you.

They'll update it to the newest version btw.
Thats the first thing they do.

Is the problem really that bad?
If not, just sell it online, and buy a new unlocked one, you might pay about 50$ more, but its better than 200$ worth replacement.
Hacker Alert!!!
Damn no luck they found out it was unlocked.

Ok thanks for the info and there is usually always a way to unlock the latest firmware. Plus I already found a few cellular stores that will replace the screen for $200 and they don't update the software.

THERE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT FOR THE SECOND TIME!!
Its a first generation and first generations ARE NOT In canada, so these people at apple have no expierience, and theyll ask "Oh, so its unlocked since its in canada, sorry we cant help"

They'll accept the 3G for sure, you probably still have a warranty of some sort.
