  1. If there won't be any playoff, we are in the 9th place. We should get the first round draft pick!
  2. We would lose a draft pick if we make the playoffs. But the NHL is still working out the schedule. Everything seems uncertain. What 's your thoughts? Three main areas There are three key topics that the league focused on. First, points percentage as of the March 12 pause would determine the draft order. Second, the lottery would go back to the old system for this season only, meaning no lotteries for each of the top three selections — only one for the top pick with teams able to move up four places, at most. That would end up with the Red Wings, who have already clinched dead last, picking either No. 1 or No. 2 overall. The third area, which will be tricky, is dealing with conditional draft picks. The league said it would propose solutions and the teams involved would have a week to come up with an acceptable alternative for both sides or take the NHL’s idea. For example, the Sharks acquired a 2021 third-round pick as part of the Brenden Dillon trade. If the Capitals win the Stanley Cup this season that third-rounder will move to this year’s draft. It would be up to Doug Wilson and Brian MacLellan to work out a suitable resolution. The 2020 NHL Draft was originally scheduled to be held June 26-27 in Montreal, but those plans were postponed in late March. https://nhl.nbcsports.com/2020/05/04/nhl-makes-case-to-teams-for-early-june-draft/ ' The memo also addresses a critical concern for teams: their ability to make trades during the draft. Typically, teams use the draft to begin “resetting” their rosters ahead of free agency and other offseason activities. That includes making trades that help alleviate salary-cap problems. By holding the draft before the season is completed, teams would be unable to trade players from their rosters due to trade-deadline and playoff-eligibility restrictions. According to Daly, the NHL did an analysis of the past five seasons that indicated roughly one-half of the trades made at those drafts “would still have been permissible in the context of an ‘early Draft.'” The memo states that there were 106 draft-day trades conducted, and 64 of those deals still would have been able to happen had the draft been held before the completion of those seasons.'

  4. I have a friend who tried to get out of debt as soon as possible. He heard there are profit and non-profit debt consolidation companies. He found one called C**** C****. Instead of paying the amount of debt, the company can lower the debt to 60% with service charge. However, he is concerned about the company. The company claimed that they won't update the credit file (Transunion and Equifax) until the file is fully closed. How can he check whether the company is reliable?
  5. It seems that there won't be a spot for Nikolay Goldobin. He played well the first half of last season. However, he went downhill the second half. He had many scoring chances. Yet, none of them turn into a goal. Do you think the management will sign Goldobin before the training camp?
  6. 130 is always fully packed around 3pm. Over 30 BCIT and high school waited in line. We need more #130 bus during peak hours on weekdays.
  7. Skytrain is not working again. People are frustrated as they can not go to Rogers Arena on time. Oh gosh. Once every few months.
  8. Anyone use TD waterhouse to purchase stocks? I recently opened a new account with them. How does it work? What's their service fee ?
  9. "Next spring, Metro Vancouverites will be asked if they support a 0.5 per cent increase in the Provincial Sales Tax in the region to pay for transportation projects." http://METRO VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Next spring, Metro Vancouverites will be asked if they support a 0.5 per cent increase in the Provincial Sales Tax in the region to pay for transportation projects. In a 109-19 weighted vote, Metro mayors have approved the question that will be asked in the referendum. Staff say, if implemented, the increase would bring in roughly $250 million a year at a cost to the average Metro Vancouver family about $125 annually. They say the poorest 20 per cent of families would pay about $50 per year. It would be the first regional sales tax in Canada, though it is commonly found in the US. Voters in Metro Vancouver will get a mail-in ballot with the question in mid-March and we will get the results of the vote by the third week of May. NO SALES TAX INCREASE!
  10. There is a river that separate between Cambie and downtown. How does the Canada line must pass through from Cambie through downtown? Anyone knows?
  11. Christy Clark promised that there will be a referendum regarding the Transit funds this fall municipal election. Let's keep an on eye on Clark!
