  8. I think it would be best if our LV GM did not see who the NHL teams IRL are protecting and exposing. I also like that 72 hour window for making deals
  9. With the NHL releasing the exposed and protected lists for expansion to the public on June 18th we will adjust our expansion draft date to the 17th correct?
  10. Would have liked to see his face when he found out he was traded

  13. With the emergence of Brad Marchand this year it reminds me of a situation that can be used as a bit of a teaching moment for less experienced GM's My my first year in the league I had Marchand as an RFA. I wanted him on a good bridge deal and didn't want to give him a trade clause. We probably could have compromised but I pretty much burned the bridge. Eventually the negotiations got a bit nasty. In the end another GM (whom I never dealt with going forward) came along and signed him to a (very odd and rare) 2 year offer sheet that expired UFA. I matched because the compensation wasn't worth it and got 2 years out of Marchand. He didn't resign after the 2 years. Moral of the story, there is a fine line that you can ride when being aggressive in negotiations. Do not cross it because you will not win. Instead of having a potential Hart Trophy winner I basically ended up with nothing. To be clear, the agent was fair and in his position I probably would have done the same. I was new and didn't quite have the right feel for negotiations at that point.
  14. That work done by Mike is impressive.
  15. I love that he wore 66. No one should have an issue with that. lol
