maybe, but a lot of players haven't had many full seasons either. Tanev is an excellent fit on a number of teams, he would have been a difference maker for TO. And he does have 16 playoff games under his belt.

How does this work?

It's pretty hard to explain in one short post but I sim using a game called Eastside Hockey Manager, then I post the sims here on CDC. we have our own separate site where you can make roster moves and see others' rosters. We have been doing it for a few years now and we are about to start our 5th installation of the series. Typically we try to go for 10 seasons.

It's basically a 31-man Be A Gm mode. Drafts, free agency, the works.

Its always terrible seeing these types of accidents to any player.

Going to a single door is a possibility with rested players just coming over the boards, and some additional shuffling coming on to the bench... it would just make every period into something closer to the 2nd period with the so-called "long change", at least in my opinion. Either that, or moving the door to the middle of the bench, in which case, the 2nd period becomes even more of a "long change".

But still, there is a single door that can be left open, or pushed open at the wrong time when not properly secured...

And, locking the door could lead to dead-tired players not being able to get off the ice and leading to injury of themselves or others while trying to get over the boards in reverse.

Its a tough scenario, and a situation where I think each team, and every player, just needs to be as vigilante as possible looking out for the well being of others. Its very difficult to predict who could collide with the open doors; it could potentially be any teams' star player, or any players' friend, or even just another human being heading for a high percentage catastrophic collision.

Yes, that kid is a hot-doggin' show-off, but he is good. Lucky for him he's playing on a good Isles team and has stayed healthy. Oh well, McDavid never won the Calder either (also health issues)

I wouldn't call the Islanders good. He plays with Beauvillier and Eberle so he's easily the best player on that line.

Not a huge deal if it's one game. If Goldobin sits multiple games in a row, then it becomes a bit of a concern.

Green already said post-TDL that if the young guys don't perform, they don't play.  IMO, Goldobin's play away from the puck doesn't justify what he's done with the puck--hasn't done anything to make me a believer in him.  So I'm good with it

they will look at the numbers, but honestly the players Barzal has played with vs Boeser pretty much os the difference maker.

Boeser should have the upper hand due to having to initiate production himself, being a goal scorer helps. Barzal has been able to dish off to player who can produce...so yeah.

But all three are derserving.

Bitz was actually super effective in his few games with them. I have no idea why he fell off the face of the earth after that season...

If we're picking 3-5 and Dahlin is gone I want no part of Boqvist.  I just do not see what everyone else sees in him.  If we're drafting a defenseman not named Dahlin i'd prefer Bouchard over Boqvist but if we're 3-5 you have to pick the BPA and that is one of Zadina/Tkachuk/Svechnikov but our needs are still greater on the LW and center than they are RW

And as I see not a whole ton of difference between Zadina and Svechnikov I have to weigh it between Zadina and Tkachuk

I understand, I'm just fed up with having $&!# defence, and drafting only one 1st round D prospect in forever won't change that. 

They're done for if MacKinnon is out. He was carrying them so hard.

This will be a good opportunity to learn.. He got caught up running around after guys, and finally someone (Edler) wised up to his antics and protected himself, and Mckinnon took the worst of it.

This Mackinnon injury is why big men like Edler are good to have.  They take hits, and injure guys doing so.  

Really like the turn Mackinnon took this year.  He was exceptionally good after the Avs big fight a while back, where he pounded some guy.

WTF is going on? AM730 said there were 5 pedestrians hit this morning alone. Slow down, be alert. Cyclists, Pedestrians, Motorcyclists, make sure you were something that makes you seen. Assume you can't be seen and be careful. Motorists do the same.

There is a pedestrian overpass right there and it was dark and very rainy. People should just use it to avoid these incidents.

Gudbranson would walk at season's end. They wouldn't be interested. Also I think Hutton would be an upgrade over Connauton... Connauton and Schenn are both UFAs at the end of the year as well. I'd assume Hutton would be a future part of their roster. So I think Hutton makes more sense.

Considering at one point he had 44 points, and is only 22 years old. I doubt they'd take our scraps for him.
