Paying to give Garland away is ridiculous. Sure he's a 4 million dollar guy making 5 million. I've seen a lot worse contracts. Guy gets no PP time and played with Dries (bless his heart) and still got 46 points. Guy is fast and feisty. Had something like 1 less 5v5 point than Miller his first season here. Canucks should try putting players in positions to succeed if they want to move on from them. Garland should have played in top 6 last 25 games and racked up the points if they planned to move him. Not put on the 3rd line with no PP time. What you expect?

Would compliment Hughes perfectly. 6'3 210 We take a gamble on another 21 yr old Alexis Laf who had 0 points in 7 games for NYR against Devils. Emilie Castonguay would have inside scoop and maybe knows what we could do to take his career to next level Thoughts?

OB saying he thinks we need more sandpaper/toughness and Rick agreeing was beautiful. Hopefully we can target guys like Domi/Bertuzzi/Graves and trade Garland for a worse player at half the caphit but brings a physical element

Outside of Miller and maybe Joshua all our forwards will get crushed in playoff hockey. None of our D fight or are tough. We need playoff players not tiny guys with no pushback. I get skilled and quick players, but we need also desperately need hard nosed skill.

If there's one thing I've noticed watching the playoffs is we are wayyyy to soft as currently constructed
