  1.     That was off the chain "saw" Raff....just made my morning, well played man..well played.haha The chainsaw may well be the only musical instrument I can play.
  2. Some Sabbath....Ozzy, my all time favorite. SHARON!!!!lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_V-afAs1gwk
  3. Some great guitar riffs.....Blackie Lawless and the boys. Chainsaw, yard work by day, musical instrument by night, lol.
  4. Zakk Wylde shreddin....the guy is one of my favorites.
  5.     Raff, Unfortunately the only thing I can play is stereo, lol. So even bad guitar is miles ahead of my musical talent. Pro-ject, Music Hall and Rega all make good entry level tables(new). You can get some very good used tables on canuck audio mart for the same price as the above new ones, that would be a step up in sound quality. Speaking of bad as in bad azz guitar....
  6. Raff,Dangles That is why I will take vinyl and it's imperfections over a digital source......Whenever I audition a new piece of audio gear I do so with vinyl. Usually Mary Black, as I feel female vocals can usually reveal the weaknesses or strengths of the piece. After all the submissions I have gone through on here, it is apparent I have got some work to do (money to spend) to catch up on my collection. Thanks for opening up my ears again guys!!!!
  7. Wow Raff....our musical tastes overlap in a lot of ways. Youtube etc. just can't do these pieces justice. Am gonna veer away from Orchestra a bit and one of my faves to listen to in the summer, when we are out enjoyin our hottub and a cerveza.....
  8. And the same from Hetfield and the SF symphony.....
  9.     Thanks for sharing Raff, Ahhh the female voice, another reason women are such beautiful creatures.
  10.     Great tune Deb, I don't think I ever met any music that I can say I truly hated, I can safely say the "grunge" movement holds a special place in my heart....Thanks for the link to the article
  11. Great tune above Otherwise.....Gave me the urge to throw it on the turntable. Sublime...but the mood this morning after the Canucks loss last night Haha.
  12. Morning routine...coffee tunes and life be good mun. Smashed some Kid onto the platter this morning.
  13. Deb,Raff...........Love Vedder..... Will stay with the theme and Scott Stapp.
  14. Just discovered this thread.....love it. It brings about the question. What do you prefer Vinyl or a digital source? I tend to lean on vinyl, but enjoy all sources. My setup: Amp: NAD 326BEE CD Player: Arcam Diva 82T Turntable: Rega RP3 with ortofon red cartridge Phonostage: NAD PP2e Speakers: DALI IKON 6 MK2's Interconnects: Audioquest Forest And another beauty by Eva....She passed much too young
  15. Liked Torres and what he brought to the team, I think Virts is more controlled and brings an even better offensive upside to his game though. Just something about the kid, a gut feeling if you will, telling me that he will bring something special to the team.
  16. Kid has a game more suited to NHL than international hockey, IMO. Like his game more than Horvat's, his balance and speed along with his nastiness and the heavy game he plays, I think will bode well in the NHL . The move he made going through the Russian D-mans legs and picking the puck up on the other side, tells me he has the offensive talent to go along with it. The mistakes he made and poor positioning at times can definitely be coached up. Again, most of that can be attributed to youth, experience etc.
  17. I liken him to Mark Recchi, Jeremy Roenick, Wendal Clarke or maybe even as Brick mentioned a similiar but smaller version of Lindros. Too early to really say yet, but am very excited about this kid. As someone earlier mentioned that they haven't been this excited about one of our prospects in years, I too am almost giddy.
  18. Lol, c'mon guys he is young...........unwatchable????? He has a great combination of speed, balance, grit and skill. He is playing in a very short tourney with linemates he has never played with before the tournament. I think if you polled the montreal fans that were in attendance at this game what they thought of Virtanen, you would get an answer of "I wish the habs had drafted him". When you can finish checks the way he does and display the speed he brings, he will easily become a fan favorite. Then again, this is just my opinion. Consumate team player......had McDavids back the whole game. All his teammates for that matter. The combination of taking the body heavily and his speed will wear you down.
  19. Love how Virts has a mean streak... looking forward to his NHL debut.
  20. Pre-tourney games, I think Virtanen will see bigger minutes as the tourney rolls on. As Brick said, he needs to make the most of his minutes. We are icing a nice looking squad this year, looks like a good mix. Like the size and speed we are bringing to the table, the swedes looked very frustrated, as we were hitting them at every turn.
  21. "There was nothing wrong with our core." Very debateable statement. " total disrespect of our team and their abilities." Wow........ a little over dramatic, imo. Embellishment for arguement sake me thinks.
