  3. I hope it's more like 2 years for 7 million, but still want him back
  4. At first I was disapointed that Hamhuis didn't get moved, but I'd be more upset if we didn't get him back next year. Without proper mentors and guys to look up to like the Sedins & Hamhuis, the up and young players and prospects could end up like the Coilers
  5. I think Pierre was commentating on a game late last night haha he's a mess
  6. Vrbata for Drouin straight up both teams get rid of players that don't show up to their games
  7. You'd be cranky if you had to be on live TV since 5AM with one crappy trade to announce lol
  8. Fair enough but that topic is pretty open I wanted to narrow it down to a discussion based on people's opinions on drafting by position. Normally I'd agree with some of the replies here that say "Draft the best available Player" but I'd really like to see us grab an early D-Man
  9. Personally I think we need to draft a top D-Man, I don't want us to go down the same path as Edmonton, draft forward after forward & stuck in the "never ending rebuild". D - Jacob Chychrun - 6'2 194 Ranked 5-ISS 78 points in 99 OHL Games Drafted 1st overall in the OHL Draft 2 Way Physical D-Man with Physical Edge D - Jake Bean - 6'1 192 Ranked 21-ISS 98 points in 112 WHL Games Offensive D-Man who is solid in his own end D - Mikhail Sergachyov - 6'2 205 47 points in 59 OHL Games Ranked 9-ISS Big Nasty Defender with big offensive upside This draft has a ton of strong D-Men, I hope we can snag a couple.
  10. Looked like Ovechkin was wearing Dorsett's jersey for a shift there
  11. I still like him, but I liked Kyle Wellwood too haha I kind of want to see if he can convert to wing though I understand why other fans don't like them though
  12. I like him being up with the big club to see if he can battle for ice-time or convert to wing
  13. He has a no trade clause, it's pretty much in Hamhuis' hands.
  14. Gritty players are easier to acquire later down the line when we know how our guys are going to develop, in 2-3 years when we go for the cup we can go for the physicality. That being said, I don't think we to get too many more physical players, guys that play hard both ways & make a team skate are really hard to play against too.
  15. We also have another decent group of players that are 26/27 that will be still in their early 30's when our prospects develop: Bartowski - 27 - 6'1, 196. Solid defensive d-man with offensive upside Weber - 27 - 5'11, 201. Scored 11 goals last year for us, a offensive D-Man but took a step back this year Sbisa - 26 - 6'2, 196. A decent sized 2-way D-Man with lots of potential, but still needs a bit of refinement Biega - 27 - 5'10, 187. He's a bit small for a physical D-Man, but he's growing on me and shows why he was the captain of Utica Tanev - 27 - 6'2, 185. He's never been a minus player, blocks shots and 38 pims in over 280gp Markstrom - 26 - 6'6, 196 - He's dominated at every level & he's going to be a superstar goalie for us Sutter - 27 - 6'3, 190 - He's a big strong, two way center who can skate & win face-offs *Kenins - 24 - 6'1, 201 - He's kind of in the shadow of some of our rising talent, but he's a great depth player
