But that's the thing, it's not just bullpen depth. They only have 5 starters. 3 outfielders (4 if you count Merrifield, but then you have someone batting around .200 at 2B). Espinal and Biggio aren't striking fear in anyone anymore so they only positions they have okay depth at is catcher and 1B. In Cleveland, Shatkins were never able to get over that hump into consistent contender, and I don't see them being able to do that here either. If Rogers wasn't willing to open the purse strings for Gausman and Bassitt, this team would be a basement dweller.
