I would agree Gaunce's best shot is in the Canucks bottom 6 right now. I don't think he has been a healthy scratch under Travis this year. He has been injured. He is a second year pro, you don't bench a guy who is 2nd in points per game.
Jensen thought he could get by on all offense, Gaunce is not following those footsteps at all. He is more defensively responsible, and at this point, appears to have more offensive output, in less time.
Hamilton, Bancks and Archibald are all AHL lifers because they are 25+ years old and never put up 25 points in the AHL. Gaunce put up 29 in his first season.
I just look at our left wing and center positions right now and think "Why not?"
Kenins didn't exactly have a lot of fire in the belly, hes been given a lot of chances. (He played well in his last game)
Should I bring up Higgins?
Prust has 0 points and 2 majors in the last 11 games.
Vey is small and wasting an NHL spot on our 2nd PP.
