  1. He says after 3 ish pages of slagging said "arsehole" Look mate. It's cool. You have this thing for Commodore. babcock kicked your dog. It's fine. I just pointed out the obvious. That aside from Bisonette and Commodore there is literally ZERO evidence to prove these allegations and not only are the two most high profile jackets players out saying it's nothing; but the NHL is too. But you need this to be true to justify whatever bias you have and that's fine. Doesn't detract from the fact that aside from some allegations at this point from two washed up players with serious issues with babcock, nothing has been proven at all.
  2. Maybe, just maybe people aren't "carrying water" for him, but are instead listening to the league and the players who have said it is a non issue. If all of these alleged players are involved why has nobody come out to say anything? Any notion of improper behaviour would see Babcock turfed immediately and said player would see no harm in coming out. So why is the suggestion that "people are carrying water" for Babcock and not, hey maybe Bisonnette and Commodore are just lying out of their arses based on a situation that wasn't what they imply it is due to some sort of inherent bias or past issues with the coach?
  3. Ya this makes his comments about him abusing Fantili totally legit. Doesn't have an axe to grind at all. Super impartial.
  4. I'll be providing photographic coverage for the Canucks game and one jets v flames game Love having an in
  5. So that's it? "Hey [insert player name] you've all this stuff going on? Sounds awesome, can i see photos? Oh wait I can cast them on to my tv via airplay? That's awesome show me how" Kinda seems like a LOT of narrative pushing on the backs of past behaviour for clicks. That aint cool. If this is really all it is, this will put them in eklund territory
  6. If he and the AVS forward core can stay healthy and Johansen has the year he is projected to have with this level of offensive line mates and blue line there's really no other favourite for me in that division. The AVs did great with this signing
  7. Keeping my eyes on Brookfield renewables. That dividend and growth rate are looking mint
  8. I mean good call, he's calm and level headed. Miller was the more obvious choice due to the passion he brings but also could have been a detriment due to that same heat. Now to speak the quiet part out loud. Is this to get ahead of his next contract? Is this to see about ensuring he is not Jersey bound in a few years? Or is this just a common sense nomination for captaincy? Whatever the case, it's the right move to make.
  9. Impulse control problems and drinking. Who knew they went hand in hand
  10. The math is in apparently. By the numbers the BoC suggests that the carbon tax has an almost nil effect on inflationary pressures. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/carbon-tax-inflation-tiff-macklem-calgary-1.6960189 There's some, and one could stress some, point to the Conservative Party's steady drumbeat. It's inescapably true that the federal carbon tax makes life for Canadians more expensive — before the "climate action incentive" rebate — and Bank of Canada governor Tiff Macklem reiterated this on a visit to Calgary on Thursday. He brought further clarity to the highly charged political discourse by putting a number on it. That number: 0.15 percentage points of the inflation increase can be attributed to the carbon tax.
  11. Damn. Didn't realize they were that tight to the cap. Guessing that Tarasenko is trade bait though and there's a good chance kubalik is gone as well by the TDL if they falter. As well, as a side note Hamonic is on an Uber cheap contract through next year and could be shed for depth. They'll have to do something for sure. Id absolutely love to see a way of getting Pinto myself. 6 foot 3 200 pound right shooting centre that has done nothing but improve and is only 22 That's exactly what this club needs for the future
  12. Simple solution. Garland for Pinto Canucks can never have enough pivots
  13. 30 years. https://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainment/danny-masterson-rape-sentence-1.6959589
  14. Sadly I think for a few canadian teams I think this is and or will be the case
  15. No, but it's sad to see teams in canada having to overpay early to retain talent
  16. Nope, the best 2 way in the last 2 ish decades at the time of his retirement IMO only. But he wasn't the largest when he was drafted either, put on like 25-30 pounds through his career after he was drafted. Sanderson could top out at 210-215 over time. Whatever the case, Ottawa is paying for potential and it sure looks like it's there.
  17. Yes, he did and much like many other legacy contracts or contracts signed by older players that didn't age well, his didn't age well at all to the point he was what amounts to kind of a paid cap dump. Ottawa is currently paying now for potential and that's on them. As stated it's a risk and gamble and if it hits that's amazing for them. if it doesn't that's on them.
  18. Nobody will state the last 3 years of his contract were good. But if we're looking at a 23 year old Seabrook he's worth every penny of what he earned. if we are looking at his 2nd and 3rd contracts, worth it. But then we could also say the Sedins and Burrows were not worth their last contracts. The tail end of a career is rarely worth as much as the highlight years. But if we are looking at a player similar to Seabrook in terms of playing style and dependability, at this age. Sanderson (provided he does not regress horribly) is worth every penny this contract will shape up to be
  19. I hate that I am about to make this comparison but that release, the leg drop and shake and the leaning stance look a LOT like a former Canuck and while I hate making the comparisons it's eerily similar to a former captain for the team in one Markus Naslund Again this is not necessarily a comparison. Just a similar style of shot. That lean, that quick release and that one leg jog before he sends it. A lot of similarities in shooting style. VS Lekkerimaki
