You're not going to get Fabbro with Virtanen. Especially, when Virtanen is due for a raise. It would be more like Virtanen and Woo/Joulevi for Fabbro.

I was thinking more along the lines of he would get you a projected top 4 dman prospect, which is a high risk prospect, like Juolevi. You'd prob also get a 3rd or 4th round pick coming back as well. Defensemen have shown to cost a fortune to acquire. You need a topline centre to trade for a good defenseman a 1/2 guy.

Virtanen will get you a high risk defensive prospect. He is not landing a top 4 dman.

These guys have been sitting out for better deals so I don't think that means a whole lot anymore.

He can't play that game anymore. He has had back issues that hindered his game and admitted the last time it's as good as it is going to get. You haven't seen him make any really big hits since the last injury.

Regardless if he goes to another NHL team that is a pretty unethical move by Chayka and I wonder if this gets considered tampering. I'd assume that is why nothing is being announced yet so there can't be tampering penalties. Just sit out the coming year and then sign and pretend like you never spoke until after the contract was terminated.

Eriksson, Roussel, Macewan/Ferland. You cannot sit Virtanen or Gaudette even though they would be likely choices as I believe this "playoff" experience is required for them to grow. Roussel is a penalty machine and useless, Eriksson doesn't fit in the top 6. Macewan can't be in for game 1 with such a healthy line-up and Ferland might sit just because he has been out for so long.

I still rather give up Myers for nothing than give up prospects and picks to lose 1 year of Eriksson.

No. If Demko for whatever reason is still on the team when Markstrom is signed you cannot send a prospect and 2nd round pick for a backup goalie. You should have traded him prior and gotten at least that and if you couldn't you certainly can't trade that to then keep your backup. Hope that The Kraken want a top 4 Dman and take Myers. It makes more sense for them to take a top 4 dman than a backup goalie, if they plan to compete right now.

They are going to be red. They have posted a lot of things with the colour red so I am pretty sure their colour theme will be red.

Minnesota is a real possibility. They have the cap space and honestly I think they would be interested in Sutter too, they need a centre. I wouldn't mind something like Eriksson, Sutter, Demko for Rask. Minny needs a goalie and they get one for Eriksson and a year of Sutter (who they need anyway).

Okay, Mackinnon is not better than McDavid. McDavid is the best player in the game without any doubt. That is like arguing Crosby in his prime wasn't the best player in the game. Nobody is even close to McDavid.

I had Panarin as the third best winger in the league last year behind Kucherov and Kane, and the best left winger. He was so underrated on this board. I would have been happy if we signed him for 11.5+m. He plays like a guy who is 6'3 and 250lbs. He is very gritty and emotional in a good way. He isn't afraid of the corners or puck battles.. and his skill is off the charts. He creates a lot of things by himself too.

Panarin should win this easily. He is the ES point leader by a good margin. He has also didn't have the linemates the other players had.

Couturier is by far the most underpaid NHL player. He is signed for another 2 years at 4.3m.

If Dubnyk plays like he has all year then this series will go to Vancouver. He has been pretty awful this year.The Wild are where they are because he couldn't make a save if his life depended on it.
