Yeah that seems like a bad decision. Let the kid play in his town for his home country during a world tournament ffs. Seems like a no brainer for him to up his game and get inspired.

I feel like you could make the statement that we need an articulate spokesperson without all the added conjecture. -

Apparently they've never watched Star Wars. Sad. We can't possibly continue with this coaching staff moving forward. Worse than the Messier years? Something gotta give. -

IMO It wasn't an outlier. We just happened to lose our entire defensive leadership core after that - Edler, Tanev and Markstrom. Calgary seems to be doing quite fine with Tanev and Markstrom... Our lack of leadership is quite simply being exposed - on and off the bench. We have frustrated youth and no leadership other than the "pull up your bootstraps" mentality from Green and co. -

Ever since the Bertuzzi incident and then compounded by the loss in 2011 in my opinion. -

That was my exact question. Coaching staff needs to go. Players are taking over while JB doesn't have the guts to pull the trigger. “I hate to say it but I’ve seen it before, they played last night like they wanted the coach fired. [Travis] Green is a good coach, I predicted he would coach in the National Hockey League.” https://nhltradetalk.com/vancouver-canucks-don-cherry-coach-fired/ -

Nah. It was a good call moving on from Donnelly. Next is the coaching.

We got far bigger problems than Pearson. With that said, keeping Tanev over Pearson is a no brainer. -
[Report] Tucker Poolman suspended 2 games
HomeBrew replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
Yeah it's kind of a nothing play for me honestly. It started to LOOK far worse than it actually ended up being. Poolman wanted to McSorley him, but he let up the second after he thought about doing it. 2 games seems like the max he could of got in my opinion. Guy wasn't even harmed / injured. -

Avs are only playing .500 hockey at the moment. I wouldn't call them favorites to win the cup at this point in the session. They would one of the favourite to win at some point in the next few years, but I would more likely put money on a team like the Oilers (as much as we like to hate Oilers). -

Have a bad feeling about anything else?… perhaps something to do with the coaching…? -
Define superstar... Would be hard pressed to not consider someone like Cale Makar not a superstar in this league already.

While I agree that King's coaching resume is not compelling, and don't believe he should have the role that he has been given, I don't think any coached should be judged on his ability to coach by his player resume. Maybe we should bring the greatest coach to ever lace up the skates back onto the bench by your reasoning?
