The punk murderer crossed state lines to confront protesters he didn’t politically align with.  He was armed and started a fight so he could shoot people and then claim it was self defence.  This is a federal case now, and the little murdering weasel coward (his actions were incredibly cowardly) will serve a very long sentence, or have his neck stretched.

just imagine allowing people to carry guns and go to places where they plan on antagonizing others so they can then shoot them, and then claim it was self defence.  Only a complete fool would encourage this behaviour.

    Quoted for truth.

    Thank you!!!

The forum was upgraded to the latest version this afternoon. That is why you may see some new changes with the layout and features. The rocket icon represents a rank, which previously, would display under your username (e.g. Canucks First-Line, Canucks Second-Line, etc.). That information now displays if you hover over the icon or under "Your Achievements" if you navigate to your profile.

I’m that case, by the amount of rockets in this thread, it is certainly looking pretty elite

Disclaimer: only posted to see if I had a rocket

That is a crock, and you know it. For a traffic violation, the officer does NOT start the procedure with his weapon drawn. If it is true that the Army officer took a little extra time to pull over, fine. That is so easily explained. There was absolutely no reason for this to escalate like it did, except for the two Stooges, pardon me, police officers, looked like they equated an expensive vehicle and a black man with something dangerous. That's called racial profiling; this is a text book example. They would have already known this was an Army Lt. if they had bothered to use correct procedure, which is calling in his plates. I don't care what state it is, they all have a person's vehicle on file and what they do. The older officer (idiot) needs to be suspended pending investigation, then stuck on a desk for the remainder of his career until he can retire. Immediately!! The younger one needs to be shown the correct way to deal with pulling someone over. It sure as hell isn't by not knowing who you are supposed to be talking to, and if the vehicle in question belongs to them.

If they had done this correctly, they would have been perfectly within their rights to give the Army gentleman a warning, or maybe even a ticket, for not pulling over immediately. That's it!!

There is no excuse that can be given for this kind of shi**y police work. And people wonder why racial tension in the US is as high as it has been since the 1960s?

And before you ask, I showed this to a friend of mine that is a State Patrolman. He said, and I quote "The older cop doesn't need his badge anymore". My friend was equally disgusted at this.

And no, no military person is going to have a gun just sitting there. If anything, we (and I include myself though no longer active) are held to a higher standard. If he has a firearm, it is not loaded and the clip is likely in the glovebox.

Thank you for your words. I could not describe the situation better.

    Please, Carry on...

    Cheers

yes he did - he was born non-white apparently (KIDDING)

My daughter who looks Caucasian but has Aboriginal Ancestry has had several very negative experiences with the RCMP and unfortunately it has tainted her view of law enforcement. However  the issue I think in the case of law enforcement here in Canada is our experienced officers have left the force and the mentorship and coaching is lacking for the new wave of officers coming through. I did a lot of work in the Oil Sands and in North East BC constructing accommodations for the workers and all of the major Oil and Gas companies had ex-RCMP working as their heads of security etc. and a small group of 2 or three security officers were able to maintain control of 1200-2000 man camos which were not always dry camps. They all left the RCMP due to increased workloads, lack of proper pay and the inability to spend time in the field training the new officers. I wonder if it is the same in the US?

By the police officers conduct, I think it is clear that there is a serious lack in training and/or expectations of qualification for the job. He is a Lieutenant in the US Army, completely cooperative, in his actual Army uniform, with both hands out the window ... his seatbelt still on... and two guns aimed at his head. And they still pepper spray him. He’s obviously blinded by the spray and will have to reach to his right side to unfastened the seatbelt, which might look like a movement for a weapon putting him at more risk.

    WTF???

I agree training is an issue when your first response is to escalate rather than evaluate

  6. police officers used excessive force, threatened Army officer during traffic stop, lawsuit says

Police in the small town of Windsor, Virginia, found themselves in the national spotlight after being hit with a lawsuit from an Army officer, who is Black and Latino, after a traffic stop last December.

In body camera and cell phone video, Army Second Lieutenant Caron Nazario, still in his uniform, can be seen with his hands visible out of the window of his new car.

"I've not committed any crime," Nazario said.

Couldn’t post the video but it’s in the Link

A 50,000-year-old piece of string hints at Neanderthal intelligence, scientists say

Yep, being called a Neanderthal might not be a dis at all.

    Maybe should be a compliment?

I remember reading about this in an elective anthropology course I’m my undergrad... about 8 years ago

From what I remember, and this maybe outdated, but Homo Sapiens and Homo Neandrothalensis over lapped in their

existence together on this planet by many many millennium.

Although the neandrathals were were much larger, stronger and much more fierce. They lost the battle against the Sapiens due to a much thicker cerebral cortex.

Nevertheless, there was some interspecies sexual interactions between the two that led to Neanderthal DNA being found in today’s humans. More specifically, people with red hair are much more likely to test positive for this particular blood line

All that said, the Neanderthals were warriors. Tough as rock. I would hate to give Heel Spurs that type of recognition.

Rather, he is just a weak stupid embarrassment of the Sapien Class. It happens. Just have to move on. Can’t blame the Neanderthals on this one

Yes he pulled troops out of Syria so he actually de-escalated cannot name another President that has done that

in the last 10 years. I thought he broke even, didn't start anything new but didn't withdraw. Did not know he actually

lowered US presence that's amazing. As to the Kurds IDK what to say they (the US) have done that before in

Iraq as well (Gulf War 1) so it is what it is? Whats the alternative leave US assets in Syria indefinitely?

Yes the "assault" on the Capitol, the "coup" on Washington, the "insurrection". Funny how Portland

was a "protest" but these guys are definitely traitors attempting a "coup".

First they steal the words then they steal the meaning.

Are you seriously comparing protests/riots with a President inciting a violent take over of an entire federal branch of government for the purpose of overturning a Presidential election that he lost by a very wide margin.

please tell me that I am misinterpreting
