  1. Schneider actually had a good rookie season in the AHL at roughly the same age as Demko. Schneider 36gp, 21-12-2 .916 SV% 2.28 GAA Demko 26gp, 9-11-4 .893 SV% and 3.03 GAA Schneider then had seasons of: 40gp, 28-10-1, .928 SV% 2.04 GAA 60gp, 35-23-2, .919 SV% 2.51 GAA So if Demko is going to be compared with Schneider then he needs to finish this season strong and have 2 strong seasons in 17-18 & 18-19 before he is ready to be the Canucks back up.
  2. Wow so you think Backlund and Frolik are both "top 20 NHL players"..? Because that's who Tkachuk has played the majority of the season with. Or did you just blindly assume that because Tkachuk was putting up points that he must be on the Monahan/Gaudreau line..?
  3. I wonder if his drastic reduction in shot totals is due to fatigue or other teams starting to figure out his role and are taking away his lanes and forcing him to pass or miss the net. 60 shots his first 20 games and 33 his last 21 games. Half as many shots.
  4. How is that?...I'm posting based on ALL of the facts at hand...you clearly stated that you haven't been following Boeser closely and I most definitely have been..so its you who are posting as the "petulant child" because I am posting as the informed Canuck fan, you are not...back to REAL Boeser talk everyone
  5. So I'm a "child" because I actually follow Brock and know EXACTLY where he is at and you're not because you just follow hearsay...oh man...thats too funny
  6. Yet you continue to post about it...if you're not the epitome of a fanboy then I don't know what is...
  7. Bahahahahaha...gotta love when pathetic fanboys like you just utterly prove my point...No...Boeser wasn't injured for "half that"...you're just blindly agreeing with another fanboy based on his/her hearsay...oh man...don't you ever feel useless being completely wrong 99% of the time..?
  8. Wrong on both, he had 1 goal in last 8 games prior to the injury and has only missed the last 3 games. Probably should have taken the 45 seconds to go check instead of looking like an uninformed fanboy.
  9. It's statements like this that honestly make me think that half of the people on CDC never even bother to look at what players are actually doing and just rely on the hype and hearsay. Boeser is literally on pace to have lower #'s in pretty much every statistical category and UND is 6th in their conference and probably won't get anywhere near the Frozen Four this year but I'm willing to bet half the people here will blindly agree that he's "having the season of his life". Can anyone tell me, do they sell those Canuck coloured glasses at the team store at Rogers?
  10. This is by no means a reflection on Nikita, but in the 7 games he's played this season the Canucks have given up 28 goals (4 per game/avg). In the 10 games before he got into the lineup they gave up 27 goals (2.7 per game/avg).
  11. Absolutely, just haven't heard much about his first couple of weeks down there so I checked the AHL site for some early stats.
  12. Name Team GP Min GA SO GAA W L OTL SA SAV% 1 * Thatcher Demko 2 118:35 8 0 4.05 0 2 0 60 0.867
  13. I find it hilarious that little crybabies like you and old news take shots at the Vancouver sports writers that actually ask the TOUGH questions that most others are afraid to ask. This city and team NEEDS those kinds of writers and radio hosts, its called journalism not team promotion. And then of course you mention Shorty, Cheech and Murph (lets thrown in Valk) as the media you trust. Are you kidding me?!!? The 4 BIGGEST Canuck fanboys who do nothing but kiss the ass of this team on EVERY broadcast are the ones you trust. Is there any reason that you can't listen to all sides and realize that the Botch's and Willes' etc asking the tough and sometimes "dramatic" questions are needed to counteract the fluff that the "Two-Johns" etc throw in our faces 65 nights a year..?
  14. Wow you're even more clueless than J.R. The fact that everything was fine 100 days ago and now today the GM is fired and the coach is basically condemned is the mess. The knee jerk reaction was to not wait until seasons end to fire Gillis and Torts and just bring in Linden with 3 games to go under a newly created role just to appease fans and help with seasons ticket renewals. Glad I was able to explain that to you. Let me know if you need anything further clarified since you seem to have trouble grasping simple facts and statements.
  15. Good one...aren't you late for the candle light vigil and crying session that old news is having for Gillis today..?
  16. You do realize providing a one line response makes you look like a complete moron here right?
  17. I get a kick out the whole "Linden is a successful business man"...I like Linden as much as the next guy but come on...he opened some work out facilities in a city he was/is beloved in and that city just happens to be one of the most healthy and fit in North America....its like shooting fish in a barrel...Steve Nash has done virtually the same thing yet if he retired tomorrow and was named the President of Basketball Operations for the Mavs or Suns people would be saying its a bad decision. 100 days ago the Canucks were coming off the best month in franchise history, were 10th overall in the league and 3 points back of SJ, they were extolling the virtues of Torts system and the prospect pool that Gillis had begun to build and were poised to make a playoff run...you're telling me it only took 100 days for the entire organization to basically decide they needed to go in a different direction..?? If that's the case then the Aquilini's are even worse owners than most people already think they are... Like I said above I like Linden a great deal and have respect for him but anyone thinking this is anything more than a knee-jerk reaction and a massive PR move are fooling themselves...only TL himself can prove me wrong by cleaning up the mess that's been left for him and he's got a huge mountain to climb in order to do that...
  18. 10 weeks until the draft and 12 weeks until the compliance buyout needs to be decided and free agency starts and possible trades need to be made and the Canucks currently have nobody in place to make those decisions. Get ready for a bumpy few years folks...
  19. Well you were completely and utterly wrong with this post just like 50% of your other posts. Your opinion is quite possibly the most uninformed and home team biased that anyone has ever seen. I'm just going over to the actual Gillis FIRING post to see if your sorry excuse for a fan or commenter has made it over there....My guess is it hasn't and you're in some dark room with a candle and a pic of MG sobbing gently to yourself. I know you have thousands of posts, but do EVERYONE a favour and just make tonight your last night of posting....you literally have zero credibility and zero respect in terms of an actual hockey based opinion
  20. Yeah I have one...it's been 3 years, you should really get over it man...
  21. What the hell are you talking about..?!?!...The Canucks have $11m of cap space with 18 players signed. RFA's alone are going to eat up anywhere from $6-$8m depending on who they decide to re-sign. Even with a Booth buyout Gillis will have somewhere around $7-$10m to sign 3-4 players...hardly what anyone should consider "a ton of cap space"
  22. Yeah....we all get it man....you're completely and utterly in love with Mike Gillis and everything he has done....you've mentioned this in literally hundreds of posts...you'd probably marry him if you had the chance...you probably have pictures of him all over your house...in your next post you'll tell us all about his plan to win the Cup next year AND draft Connor McDavid...old news indeed...
  23. Annnnd...only 13 wins ALL season have been against teams that are currently in a playoff spot...and 7 of those wins have been by one goal...this team is worse than people are willing to believe...
  24. Hahaha...see, you simply can't help yourself...its really kind of sad actually...you're almost like a cartoon character at this point...
  25. Absolutely hilarious that you use the word "crybabies" when you are easily one of the biggest crybabies on this site or any of the other Canuck based forums. You blindly defend everything the Canucks do or say and then attack other people with childish comments if they say anything remotely anti-Canuck. You are the epitome of the "crybaby"...
