The question posed by the interviewer was not even asked as any dig on Vancouver, but rather his playoff experience.

Horvat brought up Vancouver,  and said it’s a lot better than in Vancouver.

He didn’t need to say that.

He could have said this is a very exciting time for me and my new team mates, But we have 2 games left and work to do.

coming to an arena near you next season.

His only experience comes from Vancouver. How can he not use Vancouver as an example? There have never been any real playoff successes during his time here. So what he is experiencing is way better now than he experienced in Vancouver. It’s just the truth.

  2. The commentator asked how does this rank in terms of playoff pushes. Y’all go review the question first and use your brain.

horvats answer was it was a lot better than Vancouver that’s for sure. The “fan” part was not even the main question.

it baffles me how stupid people have become. No wonder we are so hated as a fan base. Apparently a lot of y’all are just brainless. Lol

Thing is, it kind of came out of nowhere and blindsided us.

Most players show nothing but gratitude and love for their former teams. It's really disappointing that he didn't just show love and appreciation for his new fans/home without throwing us under the bus. Just not how it's generally done.

Sure, he was asked a question but he really flubbed the answer.

Most players show nothing but gratitude for their former teams? What makes you think that? Just because they say the right things in the media? Do you show gratitude to your last company you worked for?

  4. Nothing wrong with what he said. People jump to conclusion without asking what the question was. The question related to playoff push, not which fan base is better. There have been no playoff pushes in van for the last 1000 years except maybe for that bubble run (which doesn’t really count). So of course, New York’s playoff push is better in every aspect, because they are in the middle of a playoff push.

Now, sure, he didn’t need to say what he said but who cares. It could be a shot at the management, not the fan base.

  5. Oh my god you guys stop being stupid. Wearing a jersey to show support is not worth the potential of getting into trouble with the law in Russia. That’s his takeZ Get on with it.

Use your damn brain to make a judgment before criticizing. Majority of you key board warriors have never been into another country in your life. Let alone understand how policies/law work in other places.

The hatred you guys are showing to our second best player disgusts me on here. I am pro gay/trans but I won’t shove my ideas down others throat like most of you all are doing. Forcing people to be inclusive. why don’t you just shut the F up. Stop this non sense and start using your freaking brain.

If you look around the NHL, .75 points per game while having a rough year, 6 million is not out of line with what teams are paying for that type of production.

Yes, I agree that we should be getting more from him, and that Allvin and JR banked on him being able to bounce back this year, but then he got that weird hand injury, which I believe is still bugging him. I actually think that he will have hand surgery in the off season and that they might shut him down after the trade deadline and just start getting him ready for next season.

Can almost guarantee you that they won't flush him, just for the sake of flushing him. The team has not lost faith in him. If they intended to just flush him, they would have done it already. His agent has been talking to people, if there was a deal that didn't involve us retaining (as is required with almost every contract over 1 million right now for teams in contention), Canucks would have already done it.

Please. Just freaking trade this guy. he sucks. How much longer do we have to pretend that he is a good player. Truth is this is likely his last nhl contract

Theyve done a lot of good things

    - got kuzmenko for free - 38 goal scorer

    - got mikheyev in UFA at better value than his contract

    - got filip johansson for free

    - got Bear for pennies on the dollar in trade

    - got a haul for Bo including what is at worst a top 15 pick in the 2023 draft, and at best, a lottery 1st for 2024.

Not their fault they were saddled with an absolute disaster and other teams were willing to way overpay for the players they acquired

    My expectations are exceeded.

Signing Boeser to 3 years when they could’ve just signed him to one was the thing that made this management group look silly as heck

You maybe dont watch the games? yes, Ian Mcintire doesnt mention him. So to you he is not 30 or 40 percent up from last year. He is almost back to what he gave in his second year. After the personal hardships and the physical hardships. he looks healthy. And he gets to the open spaces. In the next year he will shine because all the other teams dont clown on him as a threat. Petz will find him. Kuz will find him. MIK will find him (next yr)

What does this even mean? Are you arguing that Brock is worth every penny of his contract? At 6 million plus? Who is essentially the forward version of OEL? I don’t get it.
