When will the veteran players contracts expire? Do we have to endure another full year of Sutter, Eriksson, Roussel etc.

It's hard to be successful without speed nowadays. Both Boeser and Toffoli are slow skaters so they really have to be smart and be in the right places to receive a pass. But of course speed is not everything, just look at Virtanen. RW is a bit messy but at least we have some talent there. Will be interesting to see what happens.
Brock will not be earning 7.5 million with us, there is no way we can afford a 20 goal goal scorer 7 million.

Again, Boeser the 6 million dollar sniper was a no show. Shot it right in the middle of the net. I want him to succeed but it looks like his days as a canuck might be over. Think about it, we ain’t gonna sign him to a more expensive contract than this but yet we would have to if we were to resign him. Not happening.

It’s been a fun ride. Oh wells

How the hell can we be outplayed so badly

Let’s go for the cup. It’s our time. Peterson and Hughes on cheap contracts. People say we need to wait and develops yada yada yada but my take is we win now. Petey and Hughes are already top 10 players. Experience is overrated. We win tonight and we have a 1/4 odds of winning the cup.

Omg, this game was huge. We didn’t deserve the win at all but got extremely lucky. Maybe a sign of something to come.

How did we get outplayed so bad? Man, these knights they are just on a completely different intensity level.

Benning knows.
But that said, it’s Boeser. He can always figure it out just like that.
This is just not his series.
We waited for him to figure it out since his rookie season.

We dodged a bullet with the Boeser bridge contract. Phew......

Luckily Brock is on a short term deal....... his skating is just bad right now. He needs to somehow get that going or not you will never see him with more than 20 goals a season.
Pearson also hasn’t done much since the Minnesota series.
I predict a 5-0 blow out win by the Canucks tomorrow.

Motte is so good, he is worth every penny of his contract. I am sure a raise is coming up, he is so legit and is gonna have a long nhl career

When is this game postponed to??

Don’t get why penalties can’t be reviewed. It’s just a matter of seconds before someone calls the ice informing the officials.

This Vegas team is so fast and strong. But that’s it, fast and strong. We can beat them with skills.

Honestly i don’t wanna see any of those oh I think canucks did great against the Blues but will probably lose to Vegas type, regardless it’s a good learning experience and exceeded expectations type objective bull crap.
Canucks have Hughes, Pettersson and Markstrom. Probably three of the top 15 players in the league. Remember what Chicago did to us about 10 years ago? Yes, I see our current team somewhat similar to that hawks team with a young Kane, toews, Keith.
Honestly, Canucks in 5 or 6. stop trying to be objective. We are Canucks fans and we are here to win this.

Last time we won a series was 2011 against the Sharks. Bieksa scored in OT. It’s been a long 9 years, guys, 9 years.

Could say the same about Boeser, but nobody will sh*t about how ghostly he has been all series. Hell he was a negative factor tonight, would rather he just be invisible.
He has been bad for so long now. Outside of his rookie year, Boeser has looked slow and his shot is completely gone. When did we last see it? 3 years ago almost.
-
No panic, guys. The only team that should panic now is the blues, not us. We got this.
Why is Boeser looking slow again this series. Sighhhhhh

I am sick of hearing from commentators, fans and etc. how the canucks will lose this series in the end and that it will be a good experience no matter what happens, blah blah blah. No, stop trying to be rational and objective, this is not what sports is. I think we have the upper hand given the momentum we got going. Blues have lost 4 straight, isn’t it common to see championship teams get ousted early the following year? We have seen ourselves! We lost to the 8th seed in 2012 as a heavy favorite to win it all, following the 2011 cup run. Heck, we lost in embarrassing fashion to the Kings, an 8 seed. Seedings are meaningless in NHL, how many president trophy winners have gone on to win the cup? There were some for sure, but it’s not uncommon to see a fifth seed win it as well. Anyhow, Canucks in 5.

Am I the only one who is sick of hearing about Ferland being injured?
we all know he will get seriously injured every two games. What’s the point of trying ?

I guess if Boeser didn’t shoot it into Lehner’s catching glove........
