Stop blaming boudreau. We all know what the heck is wrong here. The useless management team. Rookie puppet useless Alvin and clueless old used junk Rutherford and a bunch of nobody who contribute next to zero. That’s what’s wrong. No one on this management group even knew the make up of this team before coming over. If they knew anything about the team or if they would have done any research, no competent fair minded person would have kept Boeser. Let the man walk for free would have been the best option.
No defensemen signed in the off-season? No trades to free up cap despite preaching the need for cap since day one? Holding up on trade value as if you are a hard nose businessman. Yet at the same time having no clue, no plan. Yep. It’s not Myers, not OEL, not anybody’s fault here when you ask a bunch of dmen with no defensive awareness to play defense. Out of the top 6, other than maybe Schenn, who actually plays D? The answer is none of them actually do.

The reason the team bounced back last year and shows any life this year is exactly because of the desire to play run n gun, ea sports hockey. Bruce realized that need after this teams efforts under Green’s structure. Bruce has catered to our strengths.
This team was unfortunately built for O, with very little focus placed on the entire defensive side of the game. You can’t expect structure from such an imbalanced roster. You’re just not going to get it from an 80% O-minded majority.
Totallly agreed. Amateurs like Rutherford and Alvin have no idea what they are talking about. System… system your ass. You can’t ask guys like EP or Miller to play system. It simply won’t work. I think this incompetent clown of a management group destroyed this group.

Actually I am interested to know what guys like OEL or guys like Myers think. Like, being paid 7 million dollars and yet be a big part of the the worst defense of the entire league. Are they not ashamed of themselves? Like if I were told that I am the absolute worst in the industry with facts to prove it, i wouldn’t feel very good or happy about going to work. I wonder what they go through on a daily basis. Do they know they suck like absolute shit or do they still think they are ok? I am just curious.

I maintain this new management is worse than the previous regime. Why? Simple, they have repeated every mistake that the old regime made. This is in itself worse and more blameworthy than what benning and co did. Benning was just incompetent. Alvin and Rutherford continued that incompetence despite having the opportunity to correct it. So Alvin and Rutherford need to be replaced immediately.
