    NHL.com states that Laine is the first player in franchise history to score 30 goals as a rookie. Although Selänne scored 76 in his 92-93 rookie season. What am I missing?

      The Thrashers were the Barons who can be traced all the way back to The Philadelphia Purple Pie Men in the 1880's. Know your hockey history!

      The league didn't expand to Winnipeg. True North bought the Thrashers franchise and relocation to Winnipeg was accepted, but they could only move the franchise they bought. 

       

      Fun fact: The Calgary Flames used to be the Atlanta Flames before relocation. 2/7 current Canadian franchises originated in Atlanta.
