  1. He can be buried in A with no cap hit. He’s a right handed centre. If he plays well, we have him at low AAV for some term. I don’t see why so many aren’t happy with it. We aren’t in a spot to spend a lot money ? This could be great value in year 2 and 3 or he’s a local product playing in Abbotsford.
  2. Would love that. But if they trade for JT, they wouldn’t want to get rid of Rasmus. They’d be going for playoffs and cup contention. Losing Rasmus would hurt that significantly.
  3. With Gaudreau walking away from Calgary, I wonder if they get interested in JT Miller. A high scoring left winger. They are clearly familiar with Canuck players. Pelletier being a focus for the Canucks. Not saying I want it, would suck to see him thrive in that red jersey. Just thinking of possible outcomes.
  4. I really like his release. i listened to an interview with him, and he believes in his shot. He sounded coachable, and I believe with the development, he can be a player. Who’s willing to fore check and setup his linemates, but wants the game on his stick and has the release to score.
  5. Good comparison model ! Hughes is OUR generational D-Man but he isn’t A generational D-Man. He is elite for sure. As you said, Makar does everything at equal or better ability than Hughes. Makar could score 25-30 goals a year for the next 5-10 years. That’s crazy in this day and age.
  6. I really hope for Korchinski at 15. The guy reads the play so well and transitions the puck amazingly. Good skater, good size. I really like Snuggerud, Nazar and Lambert too. definitely looks like a good player will slide to us at 15 regardless of who is picked.
  7. Yeah, and I'm pretty sure that's Alex Stalock in goal, one of the better goalies in this league. He made an unreal save in a previous game, should check it out.
  8. Boeser scored a slick goal in his summer league game. Posted it in his prospect thread

  9. I've been watching Ludvig Hoff's progression for the last year. He's a player I would definitely use a late round pick on. Strictly statistical, his numbers don't pop out whatsoever. But he's a good playmaker that has shown a good developmental curve so far. Came to North America as a 17 year old and played for the Lincoln Stars of the USHL. A steady point increase before getting 57 points in 56 games in his final year. The freshman at UND was 2nd in F/O percentage on his team and picked up 16 pts (4G,12A) in 36 games. He can play the wing if needed, so he's flexible. He plays hard game in and game out, and shows up when the chips are down. A little undersized at 5'10, but it hasn't held him back in his first year against college players. I'm confident he'll have NHL interest come his junior year, so get his rights now.
  10. Oh I'm sure he does! It's not about "savouring the loss" , but more about letting it sink in. He's still saying goodbye to the program, to his teammates, and his coaches. Money's great, but it shouldn't be the end all, be all. If he's doing it purely for the money, he won't be around for a long time. Kills the passion.
  11. Well, that all depends if Willie coaches next year #4thline #"Needstoworkonhisdefensivegame"
  12. Can't stand the media when they do this. Give the kid a little breathing room. Hasn't even got to his dressing room before they speculate.
  13. Great game. Both teams played well. Keller showed why he's such a highly touted player, incredible skill.
  14. Brisebois impressed me with where he is at in his development. He looked better physically, and was much stronger on the puck. He played very well rounded for his second pro camp. Excited to see what he can do on a good Islanders team this year. He jumped right in to the top pair in his first game.
