So @-DLC-, are you watching the show? I watch it for the rose ceremonies.

Been drinking coffee all day long. I suppose it's time to start on the kombucha. Even it out a little bit. Champagne was last night.

People have been sending me really thoughtful kind Christmas gifts. I celebrate Christmas and Christmas Eve for religious reasons and only buy gifts for children under 18 like nieces. Of course I thank them and tell them how kind and thoughtful they are, but I feel uncomfortable and bad because I did not get them anything. Any recommendations, gift buy as well?

Depends who is the recipient and what's the context. E.g. I frankly don't know what to get my parents but a department store gift card/ an electronics gift card for someone into tech would be great. In the context of reciprocating unexpected gifts, GC's should be fine. That being said, if it's your S.O. and you're planning to gift each other and she knows what you want/ what clothing item looks good on you/ what's meaningful and you bring a GC... IMO that might not look too good

@brilac chopped salmon seems to be getting more popular, our local shop does it with ocean wise wild salmon and its wicked for burgers. You can just chop up a raw fillet too.
Just mix the salmon with some finely chopped shallot, some panko (maybe 1/8 cup per patty), tbsp mayo and grainy mustard, salt. If you do this about 2 hours before cooking you don't need any binder like eggs, because the protein in the meat sticks together if you give it a couple of hours. Makes for a great texture because with no binder they dont get rubbery like some fish burgers do.

So what do you buy a 4 year old and a 13 year old for Christmas? I'm thinking a coloring book and crayons for the 4 year old, but the 13 year old? I'm thinking one of those detailed coloring books and marker pens, scarf and gloves, and Amazon gift card, something from the Sub Pop store at the airport? I'm going to have a glass of champagne and think about this and maybe ask my mother. I don't know. When I was 13, it was Calvin Klein everything.

Christmas is so much fun with kids. I sure hope @brilac, that what ever you get these kids you are there to enjoy their opening them.
One Christmas we got our kids (about 12) flying helicopters. They were those ones the kids had to build and then fly them. That was a fabulous day! I wonder if the older child might like a flying drone thing? Maybe one they need to put together too?
im old though, so likely out of touch.

I'm buying new computer for school starting January. Any recommendations on a cheap/good value computer? I like Apple, but it's a bit pricey. I'm not really into Windows, but I may go with it if it is cheap, or I may use the computer I have for everything or buy a used Mac.

@brilacFrom what you said above, the first thing you should do is get a backup drive. I made a mistake of postponing it until there was a deal, and 1 day before the deal starts, one hard drive crash later and $1000 in cost to recover all my baby's pics... If you don't have one now, just copy it to Google Drive since that's free. There's a new Wifi standard that's out so you may want to make sure your next computer has that.

@brilacAnother choice is Costco (wait for a deal). The nice thing with Costco is that you can easily return it and they add 1 more year of warranty to the existing 1 year from the manufacturer.

Shipping package from the US to a US territory. Shouldn’t be this difficult. Why are customs forms required?! Got it squared away.

@Ghostsof1915
Well they did do this...

Thanks Deb! I like it too. I like them all. I was having so much fun going through my closet! There's so many things I forgot about and especially that I've been wearing leggings most of the time for almost two years, except for those occasions when I wear jeans. I found a bunch of jeans I forgot I had. They are in the wash.

Oh my, It's almost 5am on a Sunday. I think it's time to go to bed. My sleeping schedule is so messed up. Hopefully I can go to bed at a decent time for the Monday morning work commute from my bed to my desk.

NKOTB are coming to town in June 2022. Trying to decide if I should purchase a ticket to the meet and great, free stuff, and drink wine, like - wine. Or if I should purchase a standard ticket that is much cheaper. If I do the meet and greet ticket, I will probably drink wine and maybe say hi, or - hi, nice to meet you and then people watch. I've liked NKOTB since I was 7 or 8. My friend and I would watch their concert on VHS for hours. Hmmm, maybe I should drink some champagne or kombucha and think about it.

You know the 3 Colours Red?! I used to listen to them like 20 plus years ago. I was searching for the Cranberries on my TV and thought of 3 Colours Red. So it's back to the Cranberries.

Don't you just hate it when your in the middle of putting something together and your electric drill dies and you have to recharge it and wait?! That electric drill is divine!

You know when you go to the grocery store, make a list, pick up what's on the list - champagne, dessert, salads, cheese, tortilla wraps, guacamole, as well as the disinfectant wipes that are on sale for $0.94 and the 27 oz of liquid hand soap on sale for $1.25. You get home and realize that you forgot an item! Like, oh boy, I forgot the big bag of the bite size chocolate!

You know @Tucker Poolman, I couldn't decide, it was a really hard decision, so I went to Trader Joe's today and got what I needed.
-
@brilac...ahhhh Trader Joe's. The coolest market there is. My furry babies love the beef jerky from TJ's. They haven't had these for the past 18 months and they are p!$$ed about it. First thing when the borders open up is a trip to TJ's in Bellingham and clearing out all the beef jerky for my furry boys. I got a ton of missed beef jerky to make up for.

It's 5:57am, I think I should go to bed now.

What should I have for dinner? I already know I want dessert as dessert.
-
I like @Jimmy McGill, more room for dessert.

Sometimes when I drink champagne or wine, I watch old REM, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Blur, Oasis, Garbage, Hole, etc. It takes me back to the time I used to watch MTV, and the I wonder what happened to my Zero shirt with a star??! As when I watch some of the Smashing Pumpkins videos. I really like that ice Cream truck video. At least I have that box CD set, that one with the swirls and cassette tapes.
