  1. I’d much rather sign him in FA next season then to give up assets. Also I’m not really high on Pesce who is already kind heading towards the downswing.
  2. He’s going to need to carve out a bottom 6 type of game if he ever wants to stick around. He has good set of wheels and when he’s motivated, is a relentless forechecker. He’s got decent puck skills but lacks brains. Fortunately you don’t need major brains carving out a bottom 6 career. 10 pounds of muscle is considerable. That puts him close to 200lbs.
  3. Stutzle in his first couple seasons for sure. He’s evolved into a 200 ft player and he’s built like a truck.
  4. Pettersson I think in a couple years though (or as soon as this season) Stutzle will surpass both Hughes and Pettersson. That kid in Ottawa reminds me of Yzerman.
  5. He’s really only been like that with the Tkachuks as they pretty much grew up together and see each other as cousins, not to mention being Brady’s roommate for several years. The group of Americans from 2018-2021 from what I can tell are very tight knit. Zegras is all lovey dovey with everyone he’s friends with but he’s a prick to 98% to the league. also Hughes was younger in that photo and circumstances have changed since. Think we’re going to see a different type of person moving forward
  6. Basically he’s asked players for access to their phones, and then airplays private photos to his personal desktop.
  7. I mean Kariya, Sakic, Yzerman, etc seemed to do fine. Kariya was 5’10 at best. Yzerman looked like a baby faced 16 year old until his 30’s This was the kid dishing the pucks to Probert and Kocur, one of the most intimidating and scary looking mofos back in their time.

    Captaincy

All I know is he never had the makings of a varsity athlete
  9. Miller, Joshua, Soucy, Cole, Myers likely guys to get into scraps/police the game for our team. We’ve got a couple guys with some pushback like Hoglander, Pearson, and Podkolzin. Hronek has 3-4 fights in his career too, he’s another one with some pushback. Garland’s an agitator but he’s not really gonna do much in scrums, but he does seem to instigate lol. Kuzmenko, Mikheyev, Pettersson, Beauvillier, and Boeser don’t have an ounce of physicality or bite. Pettersson will at least go out and hit though and is a surprisingly good hitter. Hughes doesn’t necessarily get involved but he has shown times where he’ll lose his temper and take a retaliatory penalty. Our depth guys such as Juulsen, Irwin, and Woo are definitely scrappers. Out of all of them, Miller, Irwin, and Joshua are our best fighters. With the worst fighter being Soucy (even though he’ll drop them).
  10. Kravtsov has been a PPG if you include pre season as well. He’s been a different player for sure getting more quality minutes and opportunities. The KHL is a low scoring league. A PPG season would be incredible.
  11. Nah, Pesce could be a free agent next season, just sign him then if that’s the route we take.

As per Dhaliwal and Friedman also shared the same sentiment. discuss
  13. I need to know if Vintage Canuck is Joey Kenward or not. I need to know before I die.
  14. Mods I suggest to pin this thread on the main page. Would like to see roster and team updates now that everyone’s back in town
  15. 3 assists in 3 KHL games so far. Had a very strong pre season as well. His 2 assists from last night:
  16. I just found out today he’s Geoff Sanderson’s son. I liked Geoff in his short time here.
  17. 77 career games gets you that much? That has to be some record
  18. No sense in rushing him. Let him miss a week or two of the regular season, if it means he’s 100% and able to play better down the road where it matters (what Milstein meant).
