I did some number crunching and to give us a realistic shot we gotta go

6-1-1 and finish with 87 points while everyone else finishes with 86 or less. It will be tough but it seems everyone is heating up at the right time. 

I don't wonder about it at all. It wasn't going to ever happen, and if it did chances are it wouldn't have turned out the same way. 

I still think Juolevi will be top 4 material. Tkachuk is talented but I can't stand him, I'd rather have Brady. I don't like to dwell too often on what could have been when it comes to drafts.

@Bob.Loblaw how am I in denial? He put up 16 points? in 18 games, in the AHL. That's pretty impressive for a rookie d-man. He was effective on his team in Sweden as well. I'm not in denial about anything when I say Juolevi could make the NHL.

I assume your argument is that it is a winnable game so we shouldn't "waste" 2 points going after him. Those are plenty of examples of still very winnable games, yet teammates protect each other.

In our scenario:
1. We are a rebuilding team

2. It is OCTOBER. Game 5 of the season. So if you don't believe that we are a rebuilding team, then you believe we are good enough to fight for the playoffs - plenty of games left to make up the 2 points

3. 19 year old phenom rookie who's been carrying this god awful team 5 games into the season

And you're going to sit there and tell me that it's not worth the 2 points? It was a TIE game, we could have still lost anyways. Take your veil thin excuse and point it in someone else's direction. Personally, I think the GM’s went overboard with the “ignore size, and draft speed and skill”. Samuelsson is 240 lbs at 18 (6’6”). Like, he’s a bad skater... but is anyone a good skater at THAT size when they are 18?
