  1. Dick Van Dyke’s name is too offensive. He should change it to Richard Van Lesbian.

Vans are a bit creepy too.  Richard Auto Berm just doesn't have the same ring.

  3. Awesome day tomorrow.

My anniversary and free agent frenzy.

  4. If Canucks somehow win #2 or #3, I’d trade that pick along with the next 4 1st rounders and our best prospects for #1

No team is trading the #1 this year, doesn't matter what the offer is

Sometimes I get tempted to try a new product like this, they make it look intriguing in the commercial, but I always regret eating this stuff afterwards. I haven't tried this, so thanks for the review. I'll steer clear. I don't eat fast food often, but when I do, I like A&W.

  7. i wonder if we drop far enough out of the draft sweepstakes, will we take the top defenseman available? whose ranked the best d-man?

I think Reinbacher and Sandin-Pellikka are gone before VAN picks. So, then what? Do they go with the better player (Gulyeyev) or the right-shot one? (Dragicevic, Bonk, Allen). Thinking they take a forward if Reinbacher and Sandin-Pellikka are gone.

  8. Which team is everyone's TDL winner?

Mine are NJ (added Meier while barely denting their futures, also added Lazar for depth) and Nashville (5 picks and Foote for Jeannot, sold really high on Ekholm and Granlund while picking up serviceable guys for cheap).  HM to Minnesota and Winnipeg for smart moves around the edges.

Canucks, of course! Getting a nice haul from the Islanders, getting a Top 6 winger with speed and size in Kravtsov, and a very promising C prospect in Raty. Beauvillier meshes so well with Petey and Kuzmenko. They pulled in another 3rd and two 4ths, and got a 25-year old Top 4 RD with a bomb for a shot.

  9. Getting really sick of all the media talking heads falling all over each other criticizing EVERYTHING the Canucks are doing. Give us a trade! We hate the trade! Management is stupid! They are doing everything exactly the wrong way! They should be doing this! They should be doing that! We are way smarter than the guys who have been doing this all their adult lives! We want the team to keep losing so they can get more draft picks! We want the team to win so free agents will want to come here! All I know is that the next time ANY of them say anything positive, it will be the first time.

    1. Nucker 67

      Nucker 67

It's so negative, just because the media thought one thing was happening and then found out that they were all wrong about it. Management said they would do exactly what they're doing. Why is everyone so surprised?

  10. Happy Anniversary to The Dark Side Of The Moon!
On this day in 1973 - Pink Floyd released their eighth studio album The Dark Side Of The Moon in the US. It remained in the US charts for 741 discontinuous weeks from 1973 to 1988, longer than any other album in history. After moving to the Billboard Top Pop Catalog Chart, the album notched up a further 759 weeks, and had reached a total of over 1,500 weeks on the combined charts by May 2006. With an estimated 45 million copies sold, it is Pink Floyd's most commercially successful album and one of the best-selling albums worldwide.

  11. Which is worse: OEL at 7.2 for 4 more years, or Huberdough at 10.5 for 8? Flames are so screwed!

    1. Nucker 67

      Nucker 67

Holy heck I never realized the salary and term for Huberdon't. I think I'm siding with the old Swedish guy.  OEL makes $7.2, but isn't ARI retaining 12%?

Canucks got to trade Miller and Boeser quick - it's a race to the bottom! ~~~ Dive! Dive! Dive!

  13. [POLL] Knowing both players' contracts, would YOU rather we had kept Bo or Miller?

    1. Nucker 67

      Nucker 67

Miller. At least he has heart, competitive and wants to win.

  14. SHOCKING NEWS: After finally winning the draft lottery, the Vancouver Canucks make their first ever 1st overall pick, and GM Allvin has selected fellow countryman Leo Carlsson.  Chicago Blackhawks select Connor Bedard 2nd overall.

  15. Horvat grants "Christmas miracle" for young Canucks fans after Flair Airlines lost their stick

    1. Nucker 67

      Nucker 67

Christmas miracle is a little much, I'd settle for very generous gesture. A miracle would be if he located the original stick and hand-delivered it to them. Well done Bo. Canucks need to try and hang onto their good character players.

  16. Is cbj desperate enough for a centre theyd pursue Miller

    1. Nucker 67

      Nucker 67

I think they're pursuing Bedard. CBJ will be way ahead of the Canucks with their young guys in a few years, and a serious contender.

  17. According to EF and 32 Thoughts.

Asking price for Chychrun is 2 first rounders or two recent first rounders, plus something else.

    https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/32-thoughts-coyotes-healthy-chychrun-ready-to-showcase-for-potential-trade/

    1. Nucker 67

      Nucker 67

I'm not sure Chychrun is that elite. That's a steep price for a player who has never come close to playing a full season (injuries), and who really never made the Coyotes much better. If the price was Horvat or Miller, then maybe it would be worth considering. We got bit before trading for an ARI Dman. Fool us once...

  18. according to top shelf hockey podcast, newyork islanders are showing interest in a horvat trade.

he suggested bailey to make the money work, a first and maybe a guy like dufour. bailey has 2 years at 5 mil left but is owed 3.5 mil

    1. Nucker 67

      Nucker 67

Just saw this article at MyHockeyNow saying the same thing https://nyihockeynow.com/new-york-islanders-bo-hovat-vancouver-canucks-trade-rumors-lamoriello-alvvin/

Their suggestion wouldn't be a good return at all, and thinking it has to be at a minimum:

Horvat for Mayfield, Raty and a 2nd.  Maybe VAN retains some of Bo's salary this season.

      Nucker 67

No offence, but that would be a terrible trade for VAN. Dufour is a 5th round RWer with no NHL experience (yet). Bailey? Another bottom 6 winger.

Canucks won a game, so maybe they changed their minds again. I wonder if these ex-Pittsburgh dudes actually have a plan.

  21. Does anyone know how to remove the clock on the stove/not make the time show? When I look at the clock, it makes me focused on time and I’m trying to get away from that.  I’ve pressed “clock” and nothing happens after that.

  22. I find it funny that the Leafs media is asking Matthews questions about his contract. He’s under contract for 2 more years! Literally is not allowed to sign a deal right now. Ridiculous this stuff people talk about that’s so far away. Reminds me of the Miller trade deadline talks 6 months before the deadline. Enjoy the moment people

  24. Seeing Katatonia, Cellar Darling, and The Ocean Collective at The Rickshaw November 26th! Katatonia hasn't come west in years, if you like metal this is your chance.

I've seen some really good, big bands at the Rickshaw, and I always feel a bit bad for them. What a shocker, hearing Vancouver as being this beautiful, amazing place and they get dropped into the Zombie Zone. A band like HammerFall, for example, are big in Europe, playing massive festivals, and then they come to the Rickshaw to play for 500 people lol. I was at the Primal Fear show there a few years ago, they're from Germany. Meet and greet and these two wasted guys brought in two hookers as their dates to the meet and they stole the band's Sharpie lol  Stay classy Vancouver. But, saying that, some really good bands play there and it's always fun. Enjoy the show!

  25. Who had the worse off season?

Dumbass and the LOSER LEAFS, or Tresnivling and the SMELLY COWPIES.  Got to bring us true Canuck fans great joy seeing these two LOSER teams LOSING.

    1. Nucker 67

      Nucker 67

I'm sure Matthews is eyeing the date his contract ends. With the Leafs goaltending, he's not winning a Cup in TOR. I am a fan of this. Also, the Flames' two best players walked. Markstrom is going to be busy, and frustrated.
