[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks
Nucker 67 replied to Podzilla's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Miller's not getting much respect, from PIT fans etc. . Maybe if he wore another jersey last season. Last season Miller managed 99 points, he's under 30 and he only makes $5.25 Find another player like this in the entire league. -

How much available cap space does Jersey have anyway? Taking on Miller, Boeser and Myers is like $20 million -

This would solve some problems, and DeAngelo would certainly add some swagger/grit. -

Wouldn't mind a trade with the Devils and Rangers, players of interest: Boeser to NJ - Mercer, Bastian, McLeod, Zacha, Bratt, Smith, Holtz, Mukhamadullin Miller to NYR - Schneider, Lundkvist, Chytil, Kakko, Lafreniere, Lindgren, Miller -
[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks

Sounds like the Miller and Boeser trade rumours are heating up. Apparently JR doesn't want picks back, he wants good, young players. If they both go, this team could look very different next season. Both would fetch quite a haul, but I thought Pearson and Garland would be the ones going? Ah who knows, rumours -
Kasper could go quite high, apparently he really impressed at the combine. I could see Yzerman taking him at #8. Some players will rise, some will fall. (no particular order, how it may go) 1-5 = Wright, Cooley, Slafkovsky, Nemec, Jiricek 6-10 = Kemell, Gauthier, Lekkerimaki, McGroarty, Kasper 11-15 = Savoie, Nazar, Miroshnichenko, Korchinski, Mintyukov (maybe VAN gets one?)

Don't know, but the more high picks the better. Try to fill that prospect pool with good players quick. Looking back at the Tyler Motte trade, I thought a 3rd was nothing, but it's an asset and the Canucks now have 4 picks in the Top 100 next Draft. Hoping JR can add more next year, but also recoup the 2nd this year they lost. I like Garland, but I think he needs to be traded to get more youth (picks?) and save some $. I'd also be okay with a Garland for Severson trade.

JR needs to get another 1st, or high 2nd

I like that list. Gauthier at #15!

If they re-sign everyone, somehow Kuzmenko - Miller - Podkolzin Pearson - Pettersson - Boeser Hoglander - Horvat - Garland That's a pretty good Top 9, but I suspect there will be trades. Maybe they re-sign Miller and trade Pearson and Garland. Miller would be great with the Russians on his wings, giving them a lot of scoring opportunities and just learning from him.

[Proposal] Let's Go Get that 2nd OA Pick
Nucker 67 replied to HKSR's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
Thinking, any trade regarding Miller needs to bring back a young RD to play with Hughes. (RD) Lundkvist, (C) Chytil, 2nd (2022) and a 2nd (2023) -

Yes, winger are fairly easy to get in trades and free agency. Top 4 RDs are very difficult to acquire and very expensive. This team is missing a high end RD partner for Hughes, not a big winger. -

Really tough to pass on Nemec or Jiricek, or even Cooley, a centre. Slafkovsky is going to be really good, but he's also a winger. I think I'd rather they trade Miller to PHI for the #5, take the RD -
[Signing] Canucks sign Andrei Kuzmenko
Nucker 67 replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Really happy for Podkolzin actually. Him coming here as a kid, basically, learning the language and no other Russians on the team. This is great for him and I think he'll have a breakout season. Also a nice transition for Kuzmenko, coming to a new city/country and team, but at least he knows Podkolzin, and he gets to play for Boudreau. Happy players = success. -
That's interesting. Benning also benefitted with Podkolzin dropping because he's Russian. I wouldn't be surprised to see VAN take Yurov or Miroshnichenko (both wingers), although they really need quality Cs and Ds. Kind of hoping for Mintyukov.
-
Canucks could still end up with a really good player at #15. Players will fall, possibly even Savoie, Nazar, Korchinski, Mintyukov. Still, no RDs. Maybe they trade up to try and get Nemec or Jiricek, or maybe they acquire another late 1st / early 2nd and get a RD there: Luneau, Salomonsson, Chesley or Lamoureaux. After this Kuzmenko signing, can't wait to see what they do at the Draft

I really wish he would explain his rankings

[Signing] Canucks sign Andrei Kuzmenko
Nucker 67 replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
It would be very satisfying, and funny, if the Canucks made the playoffs next year while the Oilers missed out. Excited to see what else JR and PA can do, maybe offer sheet Puljujarvi? Oilers going down. Kuzmenko - Pettersson - Puljujarvi Podkolzin - Horvat - Boeser Trade Miller, Garland and Pearson for D -

Drunken McLoser in dirty Edmonton, and dinner at JOEY. Holland trying to tempt Kuzmenko with an old jersey of better days, like he was some Oiler fanboy, but not wanting to give him PP or Top 6 time. That was enough for him. It was an easy decision.
