Thanks to @Primal Optimist for covering for me for pick #40. Just about to leave on my trip. And with that, the Islanders select LW Vilmer Alriksson @Patrick Kane

I have 1 pick left, but I'm leaving on holidays early tomorrow morning. I was hoping to finish this up before then, but now I don't know. Who can I send a short list of (5) players to for my last pick? (#19 in Round 40) if I need to

Question - The minimum allowed for Minors Budget is $10 million, and has a maximum of $30 million. Do I need to pick one or the other? Or can I choose $20 million?

The Islanders select, of course, C Casey Cizikas @Patrick Kane

Thanks Rick, this is my first year with this Draft, so I'm learning. So, we don't need a full AHL team roster? (e.g.) 22 NHL players 15 AHL players (farm team) 3 unsigned Prospects = 40 picks Is this acceptable? Edit - Sorry, I realized this is in the wrong thread, should be the main CDCGFL thread and not the Draft itself.

Thinking about taking Jagr, 'cause he might play again, never know eh? Edit - I am kidding, but really, would this be allowed? There's got to be a line somewhere?

Q - If someone selects players without contracts or affiliates with a team, and fills their farm team with these players, would that affect team morale? Y'know, having a farm team full of players not good enough for a contract or even having a team interested in them? I've noticed a whole lot of crappy players like this being selected. Is this just a way to skirt the cap?

If Pearson returns, does that mean Hogz stays in Abby? Maybe Podkolzin as well?

I'm so curious what this guy is watching. He seems extremely entertained

I think the Canucks have some very good players (Pettersson, Hughes, Miller, Kuzmenko), and some really good supporting line mates. They also made some improvements at C (Blueger and Suter) and D (Soucy, Cole and Irwin - and you could even count Hronek as well). Sounds great. Gone is OEL, a liability. What might've been missing the last few years is a coach who expects and demands preparedness and effort. Tocchet might not need to do much at all. It's up to the players to respond and perform, and they know what's expected. Last year Bruce believed in them, but didn't light a fire in camp or the start of the season. I think Tocchet motivates them this year right from the get-go.
