  1. Sure, he's old, his stats have been slowly declining...but, he's back in Beantown where he had success and he could have a bounce back season. Ah well, he's cheap for what I'm hoping he'll produce (points/hits/PIMs) Islanders select, from BOS, LW/RW Milan Lucic @Patrick Kane @Zfetch @Qwags
  2. What the heck. Islanders take with cautious optimism, from BUF, C Tyson Jost @kj29
  3. The Islanders select, from BOS, LD Derek Forbort @Patrick Kane @Zfetch @Qwags
  4. The Islanders select, from Richmond, the rough and tough, RD Troy Stecher @kj29
  5. Islanders select, from DET, LD Shai Buium @Patrick Kane @Zfetch @Qwags
  6. Noo! I wanted that guy! I feel NAUSEated
  7. Geez, there's some high level skill and competition there, love that Quin is putting in the work.
  8. That's a big miss. I think Woo is going to come to camp with a mean streak, lots of grit and determination. He's been kind of the forgotten D prospect with all of the positive D news lately, but he'll be battling for that #6/7 spot: Woo Hirose Wolanin Juulsen Johansson McWard Should be some really good competition Has Rathbone fallen off the earth? He was once THE mobile puck moving Dman in the system, but he's been overtaken by a few. Maybe traded this year?
  9. I feel that whoever these "oddsmakers" are, they haven't really watched the Canucks much, know the effect of the coaching changes and how this year the preseason preparedness will be different. Boeser is on a mission this year. Miller, Kuzmenko, Petey and Hughes want to win and they're training hard. Podkolzin and Klimovich are training together and will be ready. Demko had a bad year, and I expect him to have a big bounce back season. Nope, I think these oddsmakers just looked at last year's roster and stats and went "I dunno, they'll probably do the same". I'm guessing these same buffoons picked the Leafs to get to the Cup finals too. Fools.
  10. One ref? "Screw it, I'm not getting involved in this".
  11. Deal! Vatrano looks relieved, like it was a tough shift and one finally went in. Not sure what to expect with this guy, his stats haven't been great the last 3-4 years, but he did have a good year in Anaheim last season, so I'm hoping he plays in the Top 6, or at least on Carlsson's line.
  12. The Islanders select, from ANA, (LW/RW) Frank Vatrano @kj29
  13. Yeah, I know, I'm just talkin' some smack. I actually drafted Hall. Big year for him with Bedard on his line.
  14. Bedard is still a child. No playoffs for the boy.
  15. Surprised at how many CHI prospects are being taken. Why? Chicago is going to suck for years
  16. The Islanders select, G Thomas Milic @Patrick Kane @Qwags @Zfetch @Nail
  17. I just noticed Kessel is a UFA, doesn't have a contract, no ties to any team. He might not play. He could retire. Are these types of players still eligible to be drafted?
  18. Canucks shock the world and win the Pacific division. Playoffs baby!
  19. Islanders select, from SEA, RD Ty Nelson @kj29
  20. The Islanders select, from Vancouver, BC, LW/RW Alex Kerfoot @Patrick Kane @Nail @Zfetch @Qwags
  21. Canucks will be a different team. A proper training camp, things done right. BEFORE: "I like wrestling!" AFTER: "I want playoffs!"
  22. Injuries happen, especially to D it seems. Will Myers play the full season? (trade) I can see Hirose getting a bunch of games. Other callups being Juulsen, McWard and Brisebois. I know it cost the Canucks to buyout OEL, but I'm sure glad he's no longer taking up a roster spot.
  23. Built the front office, rebuilt the coaching staff. Huge pressure to get into the postseason. They will be laser focused and I think surprise a lot of teams with their grit and effort each night. Led, by Miller and Hughes. Those guys are warriors, playing hurt, they still produce.
