  1. I thought that seemed like a scripted joke that didn't land. I've met/talked to Price a few times- he's not a dumb guy and Reinbacher isn't that tough of a name.
  2. I would've hated it less to see Edmonton, Vegas, or even Toronto. **** the NHL.
  3. Elon's in the same league as the Kardashian's as far as living for attention AFAIC.
  4. That's not what I'm saying. People misinterpreting posts and drawing their own conclusions. Welcome to CDC I guess.
  5. To be fair, Taylor f**king Hall has 2 years left at a $6M cap hit and is coming off a year in which he missed 21 games and paced for 20 goals/27 assists. He lost his spot in the top 6 to Pavel Zacha. Garland had less goals but as many points for $1.05M less AAV and an extra year, Beauvillier produced slightly less but is almost $2M AAV cheaper and only has one year remaining.
  6. So it sounds like they'd be looking for things Vancouver probably can't/won't offer. Dam, I was thinking he'd be just about a perfect fit for Van's 3C spot. Thanks for the response though.
  7. @qwijibo what are the chances Montreal would be open to trading Dvorak? What would the acquisition cost look like?
  8. They got hosed on some ball/strike calls in this game but they just couldn't hit with RISP.
  9. The Yankees had three 20 year olds hitting in the 7/8/9 spots, the rest of the lineup was teenagers. Not good for Manoah. There's some pretty elite travel ball in Florida for the summer though, maybe his next stop is rehabbing with an elite AAU team?
  10. I thought it was a balk too. That was an all-time freakout by Stanek though. Once he got to the dugout I was just waiting for him to beat the shit out of the Gatorade cooler like Brian Wilson did.
  11. Ohtani is to the world’s best baseball players what that one overgrown 12 year old we see at the LLWS every year is to their completion.
  12. Marky was arguably the best player in the AHL that year. There isn't really another NHL'er on that roster. You could say that's a positive for Green that he took a talent-less roster to a Calder Cup Final, but you could also say he played a part in the lack of development.
  13. His overall record is worse than Willie's and I'd argue he had more talent to work with, especially outside of Willie's first year. Nobody considers Willie a good coach or advocates for him to get another shot.
  14. Sounds like a "Sorry you felt offended" type of thing. Good riddance. I probably would've DFA'd him a week ago but credit to the Jays for giving him a chance to get informed and be better. You can take a horse to water...
  15. I don't get why they're doing it now. Was there another roster move I missed?
  16. Yeah, those are the next ones to look to. Forsell and Silovs too.
  17. Yeah that’s fair. I’ve only watched him a couple times since we drafted him (and I’m no scout to begin with) so I’m basing this almost entirely on his past pedigree (totally infallible). The franchise hasn’t had a late round steal in a while so I was hoping Lockhart could be that guy.
  18. Some of these guys whose draft, D+1, D+2 seasons were affected by the pandemic are in a bit of a tough spot- in Lockhart's case he missed an entire year of development in his draft year. He's obviously not the only player who lost out on development but it might be something worth considering in Lockhart's case. He was a high-pedigree kid coming in to the OHL as a 3rd overall pick in his bantam draft, with names like Wright, Othmann, Clarke, and McTavish filling out the rest of the top 5. Maybe an AHL deal could work.
  19. I’ll be heading to Nanaimo in about a year when my girlfriend’s done school. I’m glad to hear a fellow mainlander has enjoyed the move.
  20. Yeah that guy would make Johnny Damon look like he had a cannon. What a pool noodle for an arm.
  21. Yep, the one to Kelenic was brutal. The inning should’ve been over 3 up, 3 down on <15 pitches. Ultimately the Jays blew a lead that they shouldn’t have, but that grand slam in the first inning never should’ve happened.
