    Washington, this is why you build a winning playoff team not a regular season winning team.   More Canadians please.  Yes even Kessel like players will do.

      The depth fell asleep and I think they need a true number 1 dman.

      I don't think that's fair to say. The Caps were quite easily the best team this season.

       

      Just unfortunate they ran into a hot Murray (and in general) Pens team that was clicking on all angles.

      Caps have bad luck but they need to improve their depth a guy like Dan Hamhuis,Jannik Hansen, and even Chris Higgins would do wonders.

       

      Brooks bonehead should have been on the third pair and scrubs like Richards and Winnik are useless come playoff time.

       

      If they had Hamhuis Alzners injury would not affect them as much as it did. Kudos for continuing to fight till the end. They need better depth and guys like Kuznetsov to show up next time.
