  1. Do you think that the NHL would benefit from putting a cap on the length of contracts?

The 3 year entry level contract thing is what's wrong, some guys deserve over a $1M and some don't, but because they're all forced to be under 1M for the first 3 years, come time for their 2nd contract they're going to go big because they feel they were shafted in the previous couple years being forced to be under 1M. It's crazy to think someone like McDavid in his 2nd year leads the league in scoring but is only making 925K, now if he was able to make say $2M in his 2nd and 3rd year instead maybe him and his agent don't push as hard to get to 12.5, maybe they say 11 is fine. And I also feel after their entry level contract, they should be allowed another 3 year max contract at a max value $10M most, so after 6 years a player who's 18 or 19, so when he reaches the age of 25ish then he can go big and long term if they want with no restrictions.

NTC should be determined by X amount of professional games played ( 4 - 6 seasons or a third NHL contract something like that ) to qualify.

I didn't know that the max was 8 years! I definitely think that the NHL should lower it to 5 years though, and rethink the whole entry level contract (after the new TV deal).
