  1. [PGT] Colorado Avalanche vs. Vancouver Canucks

Didn't watch the whole game, but I was pleased to see Jake had a good game. Nice assist making the smart play for Del Zotto's goal + no glaring mistakes means it was a good game for him. He's learning, albeit slower than most on here want. What really shocked me was the amount of overplaying the Avs did on Boeser on the powerplay. Anytime it looked like he MAY get a shot, 2 players jumped over and attempted to get in his way. Obviously, they've done their homework on our power play, but this also opens up so many doors for Brock to become the setup man or fakes to Brock and then a backdoor pass to Bo, etc. It's a good problem to have, even if it will cut down on his PP #'s for the short term.
  2. What is your team and your role?

Bruins Sniper... aka Pastrnak. Could be worse, but PLEASE, any time BUT the bruins

http://cfjctoday.com/article/604181/vancouver-whitecaps-transfer-canadian-defender-sam-adekugbe-norwegian-club Well, out goes Ousted and Adekugbe. These could have been 2 quality players for us this upcoming season, so with them out the door Robbo has some work ahead of him to fill the roster out. Time will tell if he's successful
  4. Brandon Sutter | #20 | C

That would be worrying, I think Sutter provides that veteran leadership that most poo-poo on given his salary, yet it's so vital for a team hoping to have its young guys learn the way of the nhl.

http://theprovince.com/sports/soccer/mls/vancouver-whitecaps/whitecaps-roll-out-welcome-mat-for-centre-back-doneil-henry Harvey our, Henry in. I like this move, simply for the fact that we get younger and get another young Canadian on the team (yes he's normally a center back, but can also play fullback). Harvey was great for us, but the past few seasons he's been a bit of a liability defensively and isn't going forward nearly as much as he used to. Here continues another offseason of wholesale changes...
  6. [Trade] Canucks trade Jordan Subban to Kings for Nic Dowd

I agree... speed and some size on a line with Goldy's passing could be deadly!
  7. [Trade] Canucks trade Jordan Subban to Kings for Nic Dowd

Exactly what I said, couldn't agree more! No similarities between them as players other than the last name.
  8. [Trade] Canucks trade Jordan Subban to Kings for Nic Dowd

I think people need to take a step back and look at it this way: We traded an NHL player/13th forward who is good on the PK (IE: something we desperately need) for a player that is almost 5 years post-draft year without playing a single NHL game and struggling at points in the AHL. It's a decent trade for us overall. I think people are getting heated over this trade because of the name Subban. He never was going to be like PK, due to his size. We were naive to think that, but the name speaks for itself. Time to move on folks!
  9. Brock Boeser Injury "Boeser is on the ice for morning skate"

Phew that is good news, we need Brock to continue the resurgence!
  10. [PGT] San Jose Sharks vs. Vancouver Canucks

Looks like quite a game to have missed unfortunately Any update on how the other young guns played? Jake & Goldy?
  11. [Rumor] Canucks shopping for top 9 forward

https://twitter.com/patersonjeff/status/941850998967975936 Not 100% sure how to embed, but sounds like scouts are back....maybe something brewing there?
  12. Elias Pettersson | C/RW

Kid's a gamer with a good head on his shoulders. He is going to do great for us!
  13. [Official] Vancouver Whitecaps Thread

Agreed, and unfortunately for David, a lot cheaper than if Ousted was around. That money should hopefully be spent on a dp CAM or another striker for Kamara to pair with
  14. Brendan Gaunce | #50 | C/LW

I get the feeling that once Guance scores his first goal, more will come rapidly. He's gripping the stick pretty hard at the moment and also dishing to others in better scoring opportunities (as he should). Once one goes in, the burden of "1 goal in his entire career" will be lifted and he can relax a bit!
  15. Quite the blockbuster It will be interesting to see what the Canucks do next....
