I'd like to see us skate it into the zone on the rush, and lose the drop pass forever. Move the puck quickly. Hot potato, no player holding it more than 2 seconds. Try something new for once. Maybe setup behind the net and flip it over the back of the net in front. If we are rusty on passing, then practice practice practice. Have some target shooting drills. Work that rust off so we can hit the net.
Why will a powerplay be that hard to figure out? maybe start by reviewing powerplays of other winning teams

Jake's goals were good, maybe some good luck on the first goal but the OT goal was a snipe and he showed some skill in letting the Flames defense slide by before he picked that top corner.

Well Canucks have defense, a new one in Holm, so maybe a center this time, Vilardi, Makar, Glass or Petterson.

I looked at some high light vids of these players and I like Vilardi and Cody Glass for power forwards, seem to be good at getting to the net.

I mean, I ain’t going to park it. It’s just embarrassing. I mean, a team like that should not be beating a team like ours 8-2. There’s actually no way. I know they had a lot of energy right off the bat because it’s their home opener and they had their whole ordeal with the captain and whatever. But we had chances to come back, and then we just gave up a goal right after we scored a goal. It was a bad team effort by everyone on this team, I thought.
