I know we’ve disagreed on miller , but I have to agree with you. Miller does possess something that both horvat and Hughes doesn’t have and that’s being vocal. Not saying I don’t like this. But miller would have been a good choice.

You bet. Ever since his draft and all the teams that passed on him he’s always been in this position ‘oh ya watch me ‘ proving all the naysayers wrong. There’s always been an aire of negativity following him. And he’s slowly shutting everybody up! Clearly he’s captured the attention of the likes of Friedman who likes to make mountains out of mohills.

He quietly goes about his business. Doing his thing. That hardest shot compo was a good example, of just how he rolls.

I’d go a little further with what you say. Petey has a little more vengeance running thru him. A little more retaliatory.

I talked to him a couple of days ago.

His statement of wanting to play on a winning team was 2 years ago. At the beginning for JR and PAs arrival I wasn’t convinced they were capable of turning things around as fast as they have with personnel and draft picks. So certainly EP should see it too. I’m more leaning towards this as a tactic of bolstering his worth. And it’s understandable. But there is a little tail waging the dog part I’m not liking.

EPs confident this year is going to dictate his BIG contract. Im not personally convinced he’s at all disgruntled , that said the current mng has made moves to appease him in the direction he wants to go. He is only 23 so he should show some patience with the process as much as he is with his contract talks

@RWJCif the Canucks are at all worried about EPs contractual stance we may see a Deal just not this one. But count me in if it were possible.

A deal like this isn’t immposible. But replacing 1 disgruntled player with another one doesn’t address Chicago’s problem of having a contented player. to float an idea like this would take an American player/players.

If EP wanted to play on a winning team, him going to chi and bedard not being there puts EP on a even yet crappier team, and not just by a little. If ownership of both teams recognized both players possible disgruntledness on their current teams , and agreed that it’s in the best interest of both teams and both players then sure get er done. But that all makes to much sense. So that’ll never happen. If petterson isn’t happy here and now , I can’t imagine how he’d go along with going to arguably the worst team. I’m sure bedard would be down though.
