[Rumour] Nikita Tryamkin eyeing NHL return
chon derry replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I wouldn’t mind seeing him either. You know more about his situation than me. So I can’t say much on the possibility of it happening. Allvin does hold his cards a little closer than jb. So when he does hold pressers and tidbits come out. I can’t say I’d refute what he says. He’s actually more up front than I originally gave him credit for since he did seem to be hiding behind JR. -

At 5.00 min he says he’s hopeful of dman from within. I also think that their sights are higher than tryamkin pending the possibility of moving out say garland and acquiring a 5,6 mil dman or 3c. -
If it wasn’t for the overboard pushing of the “ third jersey ,the pushing of the retro jersey” all for the revenue gained I’d be convinced that the nhls use of special events jerseys was sincere. If their going to push special events jerseys , that’s fine. Leave it up to the fans wearing them. Since that’s what the original intent was in the first place. The nhl and it’s executives don’t concoct anything that doesn’t somehow bring revenue to them. They obviously thought they could capitalize , and they still can. If these jerseys can continue to sell ,great. Let the fans wear it. Leave politics off the ice please.

Bad Reffing Thread (Including Tim Peel Firing)
chon derry replied to Dazzle's topic in General Hockey Discussion
Don’t forget this debacle. Wiki. On June 1, 2011, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman made an announcement that Colin Campbell would be stepping down as the league's head disciplinarian to be replaced by former player Brendan Shanahan, though Campbell would continue in his job as director of hockey operations. Mike Murphy, the NHL vice-president of hockey operations, had already been put in charge of disciplinary matters for the Finals, nonetheless there were concerns raised about Campbell's impartiality in handing out discipline since his son, Gregory, was an active player on the Boston Bruins -

I’ve posted this song before but never said why. I’ll repost the song because I could envision from the male side and suspect what I’d be like from the female side.

There’s no feeling comparable to the lonely hollow empty violated feeling I was left with. One that I’ve experienced once. By the person I’d least expected it from.

Disagree ,if any of the 2 need/needed to work on the marriage it is/ was her !!! Negative Thoughts of having to spend the rest of your life with a person your having doubts about are usually the cause. When it creeps in at such an early stage should be HUGE red flag. There'd be an endless lineup of unworthy men at your doorstep wanting to marry you if they somehow knew you had that stance. I still have a relationship with my childhood sweetheart. That I met at 14 years of age. And years after I can understand why it happened. Because I too shared the same thoughts. We both agreed that we’d spent an unusually longer time together than an average couple. But the difference was that I never acted on it. And had no desire to do so. Do I trust her yet. No. She violated that. And I could never forgive her. Do I still love her yes.

Are you kidding ? After after only 3 weeks of marriage. This is reprehensible on every level. Unfortunately The only thing left to discuss is divorce. Not a way to start a holy communion I went through this after 20 years of marriage. And 10 years being together before we married. I was left with a who the f… are you feeling, after thinking I knew everything about her. When the trust is gone. It’s GONE !

(SPECULATION) Nux interested in UFA D Matt Dumba

My take on the locker room problem in Winnipeg is a loyalty issue. Ironically byfuglien was more loyal to the jets but being an American (Minnesota) than Kane being the Canadian and showing no professionalism or loyalty. But buff being the more mature of the 2. And having a ring as well. Wheeler has shown loyalty as well. I think the divide has always been loyalty because there’s always been an element of disgruntledness of certain players not wanting to be there against loyal players abiding their contract. I might be wrong. ? -
What Are You Listening To...Canadian Edition.

Bobby Taylor and the Vancouver’s. Taylor was instrumental in the Jackson fives discovery. Tommy Chong as well. Chong originally started out with Vancouver’s first strip club in Chinatown. Prior to that he was a cannery worker in prince rupert. Referenced in a later Cheech and Chong album ft a single “ buster the body crab from prince rupert” the same small cannery also employed Blair Thornton BTOs lead guitarist. As well as Kim Cambell Canada’s first female prime minister. This song was later redone by the Supreme’s Cheech Marin was in van dodging the Vietnam war. The rest is history. Taylor had strong ties to Barry Gordy of Motown records. Chong could have succeeded in night clubs , or music but chose comedy. strange beginnings in Canadian music history. -

Why is no one talking about the missing submarine?
chon derry replied to Nucklehead22's topic in Off-Topic General
That’s all they had though. The navy never revealed the fact that they heard the implosion 1.5 hours after the sub departed the mother ship, with numerous hydrophones along the east coast left over from the Cold War era. Still operational. -

Go back a few pages in this thread I posted an article about the Edmond Fitzgerald. I’m sure this incident will shed some light on it. And I’m sure the out cry is coming Some kind of international agreement? . I’m sure England having the most victims from the sinking would weigh in on something like that.
