    Sens fans are pumped because this is a "team-friendly deal" and he's already better than Heiskanen and Fox.... I swear this is why I can't stand that team, the fans are delusional to a point that I can't even comprehend.

    Also, OEL having to play through a fractured foot all year didn't help our transition defense because he would get smoked on the outside constantly. Good player, but horrible situation for him last year.

    Are you just a stat watcher? Because the goaltending storyline last season was pretty clear; Demko played injured and when he went to get healthy, we threw 2 mediocre goalies to the wolves.

    If his market value is at 3.7 M, we may as well envision trading for him ONLY if he's retained at 50%, which will likely never happen.

    It's because the entire team lets up, from what I've witnessed personally these last few years. It's a team identity. Honestly, Petey and Hughes might be the only ones trying in those games....

    we've played well against strong teams and heavily struggled against the teams "we expect to beat" for years. Our team plays down to their opponents, so this wouldn't work.

    1 person on our 23 man roster makes 8M. What point are you trying to make exactly? They're rich so who cares?

    There's a reason why players don't want to play for Arizona. Let's not use that as an example as to why players should leave their families 2 months before the season begins. We want players to want to play for us, and being the most beautiful city isn't always going to cut it. A practice facility is a step in that direction.

    Uprooting dozens of families for the sake of getting ice time for a month is a bit of an.. interesting idea? Schools are starting, most of our players have kids, they are getting their home lives in order, providing support to their significant others. If we had a practice facility in Vancouver, all of this would be a moot point; personal and professional life wouldn't have to clash entirely.

    No, Hronek didn't play sheltered minutes. He actually sheltered Seider.

    I am so happy about this!! As an Ontario resident, it was getting way out of hand, and I'm proud that they chose to pioneer this change. I'm sure many provinces will follow suit in due time. (hopefully BC soon because it's tough to see all those ads during Canucks games).

    Yes, but no notable injuries outside of Laine for 28 and a pretty washed Voracek for the season. Injuries were far worse for us for example, since we had more important players in key positions be injured for long periods of time. They're just bad.

    I said this to a couple of my buddies and I stand by it; IF (and I SAY IF) by some miracle McDavid doesn't win the Hart, I believe it's Petey's if he has a similar season and we make the playoffs. Yes, he is THAT good

    Not big enough to help Columbus get into the playoffs, that's for sure. They will all finish above CBJ in the standings

    You can't just sign some decent players on a god awful lotto team and expect everything to gel perfectly to make the playoffs in the hardest division in the league. They have to beat out; NYR, NYI, Washington, Pittsburgh, Carolina, NJ..... it's not happening lol

    That's ok, happens to everyone haha. I've always said there were 4 major positions 1C 2C 1D 1G. Obviously the 2D and 3C are incredibly vital for depth on contending teams, which I think we now have in Suter and Hronek, but I do believe that every team needs to build from those first 4. Cheers

    Toronto and Edmonton haven't had a star player in each important category, like we have this year, fortunately. 1C, 2C, 1D, 1G.
