  1. now you made me look up 897, 797 and 697...
  2. BB and EP had one awesome game. I don't think that spells chemistry. I think Boeser has chemistry with Horvat and their skill sets compliments each other. Boeser, Horvat, Baertschi is gonna be a great line, we saw that last year. Now, with Pettersson, Goldobin, and Virtanen growing and maturing, Green would have 2 scoring top lines when the players come back healthy. I would still like Jake to get some more NASTY in his game. If he can muscle himself into a net front scoring position regularly like Horvat does, then we can sit back and shotgun beers all season long.
  3. The Pettersson, Goldobin, Virtanen line is such a treat to watch. These 3 player's skill sets compliment each other wonderfully. I wonder why Green doesn't start games with Virtanen on that line. Why does Virtanen have to start games on the Granlund line? and then there'd be a switch late in the game swapping Eriksson with Virtanen. I don't get it...
  4. Doesn't need to. Have just play his game and create room for EP and Goldy to operate their magic. Keep it simple.
  5. Time to bang the table again for this line: Goldobin, Pettersson, Virtanen Anyone with me?
  6. https://www.nhl.com/video/jokinen-pots-one-in-front/t-294808310/c-59451603 on the topic of WTF moments... I was listening on radio and I think someone mentioned something like "Virtanen with a Gretzky like pass..." This is still my WTF moment of Jake...
  7. Or just puts him on a line with a finisher?
  8. I just love it when Draisaitl totally gave up chasing the play after 4 strides...
  9. No, you didn't imagine that, he actually did.
  10. Give them Gudbransson for Bennett Ok, calm down a bit, guys. If you watched JV in Utica last year, he had similar games like this. His ability to break free and create room is amazing. I think I've post about it before, but the thing JV needs to do after getting the chances is to slow the game down mentally. It's split second difference between a good chance and a goal. I kinda wish he'd play a bit more than the 3, or 4 games last year when he got when Goldobin was on his line, so he could compare the difference of approach between Goldobin and himself when they go into the shooting motion. You can still see that with Jake's 8 shots today, if he'd waited a fraction of a second longer on a couple of the shots he'd have a better shooting angle and would probably had a hat trick to show for it. That's something he has to work on during the season this year and he doesn't have the luxury of the AHL practice schedule to do so. When he gets that shooting motion mentality right, that's when we see the perennial 35 goal power forward project take shape.
  11. Would you put him in at Baertschi's spot?
  12. Yeah, they don't even know they are playing the kid on the wrong wing...
  13. It's never about the signing for the Canucks. The issue is always how the organization treats their signees. With that said, I'd like to see Dahlen centering Virtanen and Goldobin in the preseason for at least a couple games.
  14. Anyways, 1. I want to point out Goldobin looks like a perfect fit on the opposite wing of JV. AND...2. I don't think Cassels is helping anyone at this point.(I actually think JV's positioning both on D and on O is better than Cassels)
