  1. To Arizona: Auston Matthews Rasmus Sandin Dmytro Timashov William Nylander To Toronto Oliver Ekman Larsson Clayton Keller 2020 1st round pick, 2020 2nd round pick Christian Dvorak Barret Hayton Leafs top 6 lines Keller Tavares Marner Hyman Dvorak Kapanen Coyotes top 6 lines Hall Mathews Nylander Kessel Soderberg Schmaltz
  2. I haven't been able to watch any world jr. games. Anyone know if Shakir Mukhamaullin or Yan Kuznetsov are playing D for Russia? If so do they look decent?
  3. If we miss the playoffs and there is a good RD available with our first I would take him. If we win the lottery and are in the top 3 go with the player who has the most elite skill. Would be nice to have a Panarin type player to compliment Pettersson. Raymond perhaps??
  4. Its a good thing Boston didn't draft better in 2015 because if they did they could have had these guys right now. Boston Picks 13. Jakub Zboril - 0 NHL games 14. Jake Debrusk 15. Zachary Senyshyn - 0 NHL games They could have had the next three guys in 16. Mathew Barzal 17. Kyle Connor 18. Thomas Chabot
  5. got my tickets sec.107 seat 3-4 and my team like that shirt. Lets make an example of them. Hoping to see Pettersson and Hughes in fine form tonight
  6. In Vancouver tonight. Hoping to get some tickets for tonights game. #teamlikethat
  7. I didn't see the game but by the sounds of his play it reminds me of Bo Horvat.
  8. To Vancouver: Ross Johnston, 2020 5th round pick To NYI: Brandon Sutter, Sven Baertchi Why we do it: We have Gaudette to replace Sutter. We shed some salary and find a home for Baertchi. When we play a team like vegas we don't have any heavyweight fighters to answer the bell. Johnston is probably top 3 toughest fighters in the NHL. He hardly ever looses. If we get in the playoffs we will need someone who can beat up the other teams goons if need be... Johnston is a depth LW that Green could use when we need a bouncer on the ice. He is 6'5 235lbs and he likes to beat people up Islanders get two good team guys that can be slotted up and down the line up and will compliment other players on the team. Miller Pettersson Boeser Pearson Horvat Eriksson Roussel Gaudette Virtanen Johnston Beagle Motte Schaller Leivo, Ferland
  9. To NYR - Sven Baertchi, Chris Tanev, Olli Juolevi To Van - Lias Anderson, Anthony Deangelo
  10. Gaudette in 4 years will be like Brayden Schenn last year in playoffs
  11. Everyone crying about loosing the game is stupid. You have no memories. We all said this year is not our year. It will probably be in two years or so when our prospects mature and we get legit players in all positions. From my perspective we have all ready accomplished a lot of our goals this year. There was so many question marks going into the year we would not know what kind of team we were until we had some games under our belts. As expected Demko has continued to improve, Gaudette is improving and has earned a full time spot on the team. Hughes has exceeded expectations. Pettersson and Boeser still continue to put up points. Miller exceeded expectations. Markstrom is solid. Myers is ok. Edler is holding our defence together. Fantenberg is a solid depth defence man, Benn is an improvement on Pouliot and Hutton. Tanev is still decent. Sutter still decent. Pearson and Leivo decent. Motte still brings it. Virtanen is slowly making improvements and increasing his trade value. We have shown that when healthy we can beat almost any team in the league. We need an elite top pairing right shot defence man who can log big minutes every game. Our own Marc Giordano minus the left shot. We also need a better top 6. Our team now has an identity. They may be grinding out games in this tough schedule but this is where adversity comes in and what builds team character. Its this character that they build together which they will rely on when battling for each other in the playoffs. There are no short cuts to the Stanley Cup. If we project forward to next season. Management can now see what areas need to be improved and focus their efforts on improving that. If all we accomplish this season is the development of team culture, identity, character, and recognizing weak spots I say thats ok. We would be best off if we just miss the playoffs and land a lottery pick in the top 3. Then in the off season make some subtle changes and improvements. Next year we make the playoffs and give a high first pick to Tampa for the Miller trade. My advise to fans is to think of the bigger picture and not sweet the small stuff. Were not supposed to dominate yet. That is still to come. Go Canucks Go!
  12. To Vancouver - William Nylander To Toronto - Chris Tanev Canucks have Brogan Rafferty who is playing great in Utica. This year Miller Pettersson Nylander Pearson Horvat Boeser Leivo Sutter (edit - Gaudette) Roussel Beagle Virtanen Ferland Motte Eriksson Edler Myers Hughes Stetcher Benn Rafferty Markstrom Demko Next year try this line Hoglander Pettersson Nylander
  13. I would be interested in seeing if any stats show Bo Horvat is more productive with Baertchi on his line. They have good chemistry in my opinion. Why not bring him up to play with Bo. Miller Pettersson Leivo Baertchi Horvat Boeser Pearson Sutter Gaudette Roussel Beagle Virtanen
  14. Why not try these lines: Pearson Horvat Pettersson Miller Gaudette Boeser Roussel Sutter Leivo Schaller Beagle Virtanen Eriksson Ferland Motte
  15. Palmu is one of our best performing prospects at the moment. Is AHL next season out of the question? Would be nice to see him prove himself in Utica
  16. Ya im not to big on this idea either.... I don't think this is our year. I think we would be better off regrouping next trade deadline Feb. 2021 and having a look at what holes need filling at that time.
  17. To NJ: Madden, Rathbone, 1st round pick (not lottery), Eriksson To Van: Hall Hall Horvat Pettersson Miller Gaudette Boeser Pearson Sutter Leivo Schaller Beagle Virtanen Ferland Motte MacEwan Edler Myers Hughes Tanev Benn Stetcher Sautner Fantenberg Markstrom Demko
  18. The good playoff teams have a core thats been together for a few years and is in their mid 20's. Our core and top players are still young. Guys like Pettersson and Hughes will likely be 24 years old when we have our contender team. As far as the right defence man position is concerned I would have been ok if we drafted Victor Soderstrom. We didn't we choose the Podkolzin the bull. I see him as a complimentary 2nd line winger who has team leading ability. We made our choice and I say we stick with it. No trading Podkolzin. He could form a dangerous line with Bo Horvat. Add a guy like Hoglander on the wing for skill and watch out. Hoglander has a good chance of making the team next season. Podkolzin likely needs another year in the KHL before he is ready. Our LD looks to have prospects that can step in but the RD is completely bare. I would like to see a draft where all we take is right shot defence man and hope that some pan out. We still need a superstar RD and a top 4 RD with IQ, grit, skating, playmaking, and canon shots to be a contender. Players of this caliber have to be drafted because once a team knows they have one they won't trade them unless its a huge overpayment. Hughes __________ Rathbone ________ Juolevi Rafferty? Last years draft we decided to add two more top 6 caliber prospects. Add Madden into that group and I think we are fine for top 6 forwards in our prospect group. Our attention needs to be on right shot defence man. I think we will make the playoffs this season so we will loose our first round pick which I am ok with because Miller was a great addition for this team. But we need to keep all remaining picks. There should be a decent defence man available in the 2nd round. I would like to see us be patient at this point and focus on money management, trimming off bad contracts (Eriksson etc.) and players that are coasting, possibly trading some aging role players for long shot prospects, and signing our star players (Hughes, Pettersson, etc.) Being in good management shape is important. Its a marathon not a race. But when we feel we are really close we go all in to bring in that final piece needed to compete for our first Stanley Cup. It will be major bragging rights after that.
  19. Thats why eriksson would be a key piece going back
  20. We can still win a cup without Taylor Hall and his price tag
  21. Tyler Toffoli - 27 RW 4.6m 1 year remaining Can score and make plays Miller Petterson Boeser Pearson Horvat Toffoli Roussel Gaudette Leivo Ferland Beagle Virtanen Schaller Sutter Motte Edler Myers Hughes Tanev Benn Stetcher Markstrom Backup LA is at the begging of their rebuild. They will be looking for picks and young skilled players that can be a part of their future core. With the Seattle draft coming up we could loose a goalie and Canucks have made it clear that Markstrom is our guy. Bo needs a winger if we are going to have a chance in the playoffs. Unite Toffoli and Pearson. Toffoli is a playoff performer a skilled playmaker and goal scorer. Can slot in the top 6 right away similar to Miller. Demko is arguably worth more than Toffoli so moving Eriksson is part of the package so we have more money to sign Markstrom and our upcoming youth. To LA Demko Eriksson To Vancouver Toffoli Backup Goalie
