  1. We make this trade in the event we are not able to land Jake Livingston and the draft has us picking in the 8-12 range. Also the Coyotes are selling their team and taking on salary to get draft picks so they might do this trade. To Van - J.J Moser To Coyotes - 2023 1st, Tyler Myers, Brock Boeser We unload a lot of salary and two players who could use a change of scenery. Van lands a 22 year old highly talented RD to play in the top 4. Next Seasons D is a step closer. Buyout OEL and sign a LD that fits the Rick Tocchet hardworking style of player. With our D finally fixed we might be able to do some damage in the playoffs. Hughes Hronek ______ Moser Wolanin Bear Brisebois Julson Rathbone
  2. Tocchet feels like the right kind of coach/ personality to whip this team into shape. He seems like that alpha guy who will give clear direction for the players to follow. A guy who understands what the players are looking for in a coach and what the players need because he was a successful player on a lot of good NHL teams. The Canucks players look like they want to work hard for him and their teammates. That is the right kind of mentality and identity a team needs. Unfortunately this new Canucks team that we are seeing comes at the cost of a worse 2023 first round pick. Hopefully next season we will be close to a playoff team based on Toccet's impact and with a couple new pieces to the lineup
  3. Most of Canucks fans will be hoping for a good prospect with size who fits an organizational need like RD or C. History has shown us that we will pick a small undersized winger with skill And the Canucks pick.... RW Michkov
  4. Bloom reminds me as decent prospect similar to a Kole Lind type of player
  5. For those who don't know, this kid is a certified beauty!
  6. Good signing. Its important we dont let the D we develop walk for nothing like we did with Chatfield
  7. in other news Flames failed to fix scoring issues at trade deadline and get shut out by the Wild tonight 3-0
  8. We don't need to sell Boeser now. His value low. He is still young enough to turn his career around. He lost his hustle and scoring drive that he used to have in college and as a rookie. Im hoping the new coaching group will help get his game back.
  9. I am excited to see how his game progresses. I think he needs to add strength, confidence, and muscle memory to be a more complete hockey player. Im hope full our coaches and training staff can help him out. If he accomplishes these things he could be an elite scoring winger
  10. Canucks will never be a contender until they fix their defense. Management had to find a way to get 3 new players in our top 4 defense group. Now they only need to find 2 more players as well unload Myers who may just be a waiting game. I hope we make another trade for a top 4 younger D
  11. Im a fan of this trade. I was pitching a few trade proposal ideas of Horvat for Hronek so the fact that we got a couple other key assets on top of that is a big win in my books. Hronek is a gamer who will fit in well with this teams core. I am also a fan of getting more skilled Czech hockey players on this team. I am concerned about the hit he took from Reaves. I think he will still play a long career in the NHL but he could use a rest at the moment. I would be fine if he didn't play until training camp next season. That would also help with our tank. Next season this team needs to be ready to win. I really hope Livingstone signs with the Canucks. I see Bear as a decent 3rd/ 4th d man. Id like to move on from OEL and replace him with someone younger better and tougher. From my observation Myers has been the main reason for so many goals against. Removing him from the line up will be a big improvement.
  12. if Miller goes to Pittsburg, a couple promising prospects to me are LD Owen Pickering, and RD Nolan Collins along with a first and a second and a cap dump could get it done
  13. I see a trade with Carolina being more like Miller (salary retained) for J. Stall, 2023 1st and Aleski Himosalami
  14. I'm wondering if this is part of a Kane to NYR trade in which Vancouver takes some salary. Before the trade NYR wanted Kravtsov off their books and Lockwood is firmly in the AHL with the potential of filling in a bottom 6 role in the NHL similar to a Tyler Motte role. So its a bit of a win for NYR since they save a bit of money on their Cap and move on from a player who wasn't going to impact this years cup run. Canucks are happy to buy low on a project prospect with top 6 upside who fits into the team we are building. Im thinking maybe Vancouver made a verbal agreement to take some of Kane's salary but first they would do this deal with each other to simplify the Kane trade.
  15. Schenn's trade value is pretty high right now for him so I understand why management would want to sell high
  16. I think Rathbone is needs more time for his brain to heal. If he had a bad concussion a realistic timeline to be fully healed is about a year.
  17. this team needs a big d man with a big slap shot. Similar to what we had from Salo. If he can use his size to develop an elite weapon of a shot he could really help this team out. Its worth rolling the dice with him
  18. when was the last time a player close to Quinn Hughes value got traded? Mathew Tkachuk? return was a good NHL D, a good NHL winger, forward AHL prospect with potential, and a conditional first. What would that look like for the Devils, - Sieganthaller, Sharangovich, Mukadamullen, 2023 1st conditional Panthers get: F Matthew Tkachuk, 2025 conditional fourth-round draft pick Flames get: F Jonathan Huberdeau, D MacKenzie Weegar, F Cole Schwindt, 2025 conditional first-round pick
  19. Package Boeser with Mcdonough, Rathbone, and a 2023 1st for Timo Meier Kuzmenko Pettersson Meier Beauvillier Miller Garland
  20. From Bo's perspective i feel like he was underpaid in Vancouver for a while and he always did what was asked of him and more. He kept his mouth shut for years while the team overpaid aging players like Loui Eriksson and now OEL and Myers. Lots of people around him in the lineup were making more money than him and doing a lot less. He is due for a pay raise. Im glad he's earned himself a nice contract This team got some young assets back. With our 1st round pick we might land a player that ends up being a big part of this teams future core so I can see where management is coming from.
