  1. Its worse - they would have had to attest to Health Canada that they had proper procedures in place and were following them to get an establishment license. So its an outright falsehood. They knew exactly what they were doing.
  2. What are you listening to?

  3. this thread is an enigma.
  4. normally I'm not a fan of the death penalty but in this case I'm good.
  5. he claimed that he could get away with something similar. Man the leadership void in the US is really something.
  6. ABC cancels 'Roseanne' after racist Twitter rant

please, fellas, there's enough of me to go around

thats true. When you look up whats considered free speech and what isn't in the workplace or outside of it but might effect it, it all gets pretty grey. Sometimes its easy like when that BC woman went on her racist tirade in an AB restaurant a few months ago. Voting preferences....I dunno, thats a toughie. If you showed up to work on voting day dressed as a Nazi thats pretty clear cut, but what if you just told a co-worker your voting preference?
  8. ABC cancels 'Roseanne' after racist Twitter rant

It doesn't but they'd have to show that what you said actually harmed an employer or broke a policy. If someone said they voted for a candidate and thats all they did it would be pretty hard to prove harm I'd think in most cases.

its different because the stupid thing the person did at the company is only relevant to that contained situation, but firing people for how they vote messes with the foundation of our democracy. People can vote how they want no matter how dumb it might be.
  10. You're probably not that far off. Most of the money is in employee time to perform the cleaning and sterilizing and then amortizing the equipment so I wouldn't be surprised at all if the clinic owner was pocketing a 200k per year or more over this. Reusing single use devices isn't illegal on its own, you can do it according to the regulations but you have to have the records to prove its been cleaned to the original condition it was purchased in. Usually thats way too expensive for small clinics to do so you only see that in the big hospitals. So for this clinic to be doing this really is incredibly negligent and charges should be laid for fraud as well.
  11. I'm not sure why the authour is saying coal is the best option for developing countries.... LNG is cleaner and has a broader application base from power to home fuel to vehicle use, so if there is an opportunity for Canadian energy products its probably there. there is defiantly some hypocrisy if those of us in the developed parts of the world do nothing help developing countries achieve the same standard of living. But its a bigger issue than just energy, its health, education, economic opportunities, security, food, etc. For sure energy is big part but its just part of the picture.
  12. I've been working in the medical device area for almost 20 years, this is completely inexcusable and criminal imo.
  13. [Signing] Wild sign Dumba

I guess we'll find out tomorrow what the arbitrator thinks.
  14. [Signing] Wild sign Dumba

He might. Depends on how the arbitration goes I suppose, but wasn't it supposed to be started already? when do they give out the results of arbitration cases?
