    its unfortunate that this bad season has overshadowed 3 Canucks going to the HHoF. Hopefully the Dec 1 game gives us a chance to focus on that.

      The Ducks obviously. Nobody is touching that poorly aging Boeser contract, nor would they choose on overpaid winger over prospects/picks, nor will they bail out a division opponent with their contract problems.

      Without reading replies, I'd say it depends entirely on where your team is at. We will see come mid November.

      Overall, I would agree that dead cap is worse, since it's entirely not usable.  

      For our current situation, I think dead cap is worse (Poolman can qualify as that if his play is still crappy).  Having lost earlier picks, at least we retooled with Kuzmenko, Aman, Joshua, etc. and restocked and all that it cost was cap space.

      In a year or two, if we become full-fledged contenders I think it's a different story, we'll regret not keeping the draft picks to have strong players on ELCs for quality depth (e.g. Avs have Byram, Newhook to potentially play important minutes).

      I'd rather just pay him the full salary instead of giving bonuses.  You can't use LTIR to pay bonuses and I don't want any dead cap for the following season.

      I agree. But I'd still laugh at Alberta if they'd lost a team. I know we were pretty bad off at one point too.

      Big picture: AB loses a team, you get to laugh once and it's gone and when the Canucks are good again (hopefully soon), there'd be one less AB team to humiliate on a regular basis like during the peak Sedin-era
