  1. Kesler handcuffed the team and Benning had zero leverage when moving him out. Dorsett was well worth the price we payed. Can't fault Benning for the guy needing his neck fused and eventually having to retire from it. Jim took over an old roster. There was absolutely nothing in the pipeline and he's done an excellent job refiling it.
  2. Saros (Nashville) is doing well, it helps when you have a very strong defensive core in front of you. Maybe it's because we're use to seeing 6'6" monsters in net, but I was at the Sharks game that DiPietro played and when he went down there was a LOT of open net up stairs. Shooters are just too good these days. I wish him all the best but he has a bunch of work to do and a long road ahead of him.
  3. I also remember him from the development camp. I actually thought he looked really good out there, even though he was one of the oldest players in that camp and playing against guys 3-5 years younger than him. Still glad we snagged him.
  4. So if Michigan loses tomorrow, that's it? Done? Season over? I don't really follow the NCAA so I don't know what league playoffs and tournaments there are.
  5. Went back and read the few pages since the last time you blessed us all with your presence. Mostly just users keeping us updated on his playoffs game/series. One post projected him in the top 4. That's about it. Is that what it takes to be compared to Jesus Christ?
  6. I see you're back to make your weekly check in to remind everyone how much you don't care if Nikita comes back. You've made this point several times over the past few months, yet here it is again. Same time next week?
  7. Not french enough for Basant Motors. Majority of those are playing with Pettersson. I think he could turn Alf into a 10 goal scorer.
  8. I don't think it would be fair to him. He's still a teen playing against men. He did what he could with what he had to work with (not much) and got $&!# on. It is what it is. If anything got a taste for what's expected 4-5 years down the road when he should be getting another shot. Let him develop into a man himself. Give him time to work on his reflexes/positioning and time with Clark.
  9. Went to the game last night and gonna echo a few comments in here. He looked tiny. Almost Pang-like. Maybe cause we're used to Nilsson/Markstrom being 6'6", Demko being 6'4". But man, there was a TON of open net. The shooters these days are so good and bigger goalies are becoming the norm, it's hard to imagine this kid being a number 1. Then again, it's looking like Saros could be going against the grain in Nashville, let's hope Mikey can too.
  10. Getting him on a cycle would speed things up. Anyone got a guy?
  11. If Michigan gets knocked out of the playoffs on March 10th and Quinn chooses to turn pro, it's not hard to keep him out of the line up until the 18th. You give him a week to adjust to the speed and learn the systems, play him against Chicago on the 18th which just happens to be the 10th last game of the season.
  12. As others pointed out, NTC and not NMC. But anyway, yes I do think so. Canucks have the leverage here. Edler wants to remain in Vancouver. The Canucks are not going to handcuff themselves come expansion.
  13. Yeah, that was a head scratcher for me. One second it's good riddance, we don't need him. Oh, but if he came back I would welcome him. No point in arguing with a guy who doesn't even know his own stance.
  14. Boeser is a great player but his skating is his downfall. He isn't a good skater. The rest I'd agree with, except I'd say he's on par with Edler. His size and mobility are pretty rare and combined with his reach, he can cover a ton of ice quickly. I don't understand why you take him leaving so personally. He was just looking out for his family and not trying hurt you.
  15. These kids know their own strengths and weakness better than anyone. He knows what he needs to work on. Quinn's legs are tree trunks. Once he adds some upper body/core strength that shot will come along just fine. He's 19 years old. Strength will come naturally and put to rest this non-NHL shot talk.
  16. I don't think this guy is trolling here. Guess that makes me a sucker.
  17. This post is a joke right? There's no way someone can actually think like this.
  18. Anyone watching the games knows Hughes has been great. Sure, he's trying to do a little too much sometimes. Nothing to be seriously concerned about. He's the type of player that will benefit from playing at a higher level. He'll be up against tougher competition, but having teammates that won't whiff when he sets them up all alone will rack up his point total. He is going to absolutely feast in the NHL.
  19. As much as don't care for Ron Delorme, apparently he was the one that insisted on Pettersson. https://theprovince.com/sports/hockey/nhl/vancouver-canucks/kuzma-ron-delorme-delivered-first-hard-sell-to-get-elias-pettersson-on-canucks-draft-radar
  20. Haven't been out to a Giants game in ages, can someone fill me in on Bowen Byram? I don't know much about him. Who does his play style resemble? Seems to be hype around him, why wasn't he selected for team Canada?
