  1. [PGT] Vancouver Canucks vs. Edmonton Oilers

Two of the greatest legends careers have come to an end. ThankyouSedins!!!
  2. [PGT] Arizona Coyotes vs. Vancouver Canucks

I am just amazed at what the Sedins can still do. They make their saucer passes look so incredibly easy. They have been a pleasure to watch and man was that game fantastic. The Sedins sure showed there is lots of gas in the tank. This game will join the game 7 vs Chicago and Bieksas OT goal vs San Jose as my favorite moments in the Sedin era.
  3. [Retirement] The Sedins to retire at the end of the season

I am going to miss hearing "Henrik -- Daniel -- back to Henrik -- Daniel Scores!!' No more Jim Hughson "Sedinery" either So many Iconic moments. I am so happy I have got to watch these guys play since I started watching hockey in 05/06. Best of luck In future endeavors Hank and Danny!
  4. [PGT] Edmonton Oilers vs. Vancouver Canucks

Ok, it's time to start Nillson.
  5. [PGT] New York Rangers vs. Vancouver Canucks

I don't think he's referring to Marky and Nilly.
  6. This Team Has No JAM!

Where did you read anywhere in what I said that I compared the pens to us at this stage? We aren't even a playoff team now, let alone a contender obviously we are still missing key pieces that we will aquire over FA, the draft and by trade. I am just excited to see the wealth of talent and take heart knowing that eventually toughness will come along with proper drafting as well we can trade for a piece that we may need. I am not worried one bit about team toughness yet. That's a discussion for at the earliest next trade deadline. Like I said, Pittsburgh does have team toughness like I said. Their top 6 aren't a bunch of head hunters or big hitters but they hold their own with aggressive forechecking and tenacity. I expect Bo and Brock both to be able to hold their own, and definitely we will have to add a top 6 player who is skilled but has some grit such as a Kesleresque player.
  7. This Team Has No JAM!

Im quite surprised you found a way to put a negative spin on our prospect pool. When I look at our prospect pool l see a team that is going to be fast and extremely talented. Sure there's no Lucic, Chara and Marchand in there, but look at Pittsburg. Team toughness and having an effective 4th line is what they've needed. I think Bo, Gaudette, Virtanen, Gadjovich (Tryamkin possibly) all have that element of size and aggressiveness. Vancouver can easily pick up guys in free agents that have some toughness but why go searching for toughness before you have enough talent to be protecting. I wouldn't start doubting the teams direction yet. I'm really intrigued as to what's going to happen at the deadline this year. It will probably be a huge factor in whether I continue being pro Benning or not.
  8. [PGT] Nashville Predators vs. Vancouver Canucks

Yeah that has been blatant the past few games. We miss having that guy who can turn a game around and get the team going with a single shift. Sometimes all it would take is for the team to see him go thump a few guys to bring the confidence out of the rest of the guys to start finishing their checks. I hope Dorsett has really rubbed off on Virtanen and that he will take a few things out of watching him.
  9. [PGT] New Jersey Devils vs. Vancouver Canucks

Find it funny how last game Baer was in fire. Many people saying this is gonna be a beast game from him. When it wasn't people are all blasting him. Very funny how cdc acts sometimes lol. One day hero next day zero. I do think that with time he will be moved out of the top 6. He just seems to lack something we need, be it strength speed or scoring. Once the next wave of young guys come in we will know for sure where he will sit.
  10. [PGT] New Jersey Devils vs. Vancouver Canucks

I can just see Travis giving it to the boys about getting the puck on net after this one. Many grade A chances just inches away from a gaping net. Great work ethic but they gotta finish. Koodos to Markstrom for really showing what he's got; those 25 saves weren't easy since many were 2 on 1s. It's gonna be a tough call picking who's in net for Saturday.
  11. Brock Boeser and the Calder race.

This is the worst post I've seen today, and I just read through a Megna thread. Lol
  12. [PGT] Vancouver Canucks vs. Boston Bruins

Lol yeah they aren't first liners but are still very effective against bottom six players meaning they are still good 3rd liners who can keep good position numbers. At 12-15 min a night they look good. This is the best I've seen the sedins in a long time. I agree they should retire at year's end as they just won't fit our style.
  13. [PGT] Vancouver Canucks vs. Boston Bruins

You're kidding me right. Tell me you are just being sarcastic.
  14. [PGT] Calgary Flames vs. Vancouver Canucks

Great post. I was really thinking the same thing about Horvat. Bo is such a North south guy and he needs somebody else to go up with him especially against better teams. I think you are on the right track saying Bo should be with Virt and and Eriksson. I think Baer when on his game can do well with bo as well but they need another driving force with them. My ideal lines if Eriksson is out for a bit Goldy Horvat Virtanen (Size, speed) Baer Granlund Boeser (skill, snipes) Sedins Vanek (Sedin stuff) Gags Sutter Dorsett (I don't know) Burm (Rover)
  15. Markus Granlund | #60 | C/W

Granlund is probably my favorite player on the team right now. The guy is humble and seems to be a great person. He seems like he would be somebody who people will respect in the locker room and be one of the guys the rookies look up to. I still see him as a good first liner great second liner. He has been on an uptrend over the past few years and I see that continuing to about 18-25 goals 30 assists playing up and down the lineup this year. He has a deadly shot and is one of the smartest players on the team. He reminds me a bit of burrows with his forechecking and penalty killing as well as reading plays and being positionally sound. Just a bit slower but a higher offensive ceiling.
