    Alternative: https://www.forumcanucks.com

So...this is obviously a disappointment. The decision wasn't mine, but apologies for the timing, I know it's a bit awkward with the season so close. Like many of you, this forum has been a big part of my life. I've always used it as my source for news and discussion, and I've enjoyed the many many personalities that have been through. I also didn't enjoy a few, but even those battles will be remembered fondly.

As to why? I can't tell you that - but I think there is a focus on other social media channels now, and the forum hasn't been seeing a lot of growth.

There are of course some existing alternatives, but none of them have the same long-form format as we have here.

To try to support the existing community and provide a place where everyone can continue, or simply come together, I've booted up a new forum at https://www.forumcanucks.com/ (soon to likely be https://www.canucksfanforum.com). The structure mostly follows what is here to make moving over simple and easy, but of course it is open to suggestion and change. I'll keep it going as long as possible.

Finally, a coach who demands effort and accountability.  I'm not sure any of the players really took to heart when Desjardins and Green spoke. Boudreau was just having a good time, watching the Canucks every other night from the best seat in the house. He didn't demand anything though. Torts was too over the top and players probably hated him (instead of respecting). AV was great, but that was 10+ years ago.

Tocchet is the guy that will get them there, and if players aren't willing to do what they have to do, they'll be gone. Really like this new management/coaching regime. They were brought in to build a championship team and I feel confident they will.

They could completely fold too. They haven’t played that great This past couple weeks despite getting points. Even the penguins win they were kind of getting outplayed.

The one constant was kind of Barzal who helped keep them in games.

A lot of teams behind them also have a lot of games in hand. Enough teams to put them at 12th or maybe lower.

Should be an interesting few weeks with how teams around them do and how they do without their top offensive forward.

This years 13-15 pick would/could be great.

Next years unprotected pick could be greater.

If Islanders don't get into the playoffs this year it may be many more years of no playoffs for Bo.

I have never seen a player regress as poorly as Boeser and at Boeser's age. Blaming the back injury from 5 years ago is beating a dead horse. He was still producing modestly in the following 2 seasons. Boeser hasn't done anything to improve his skating nor try to recapture some of that lost velocity in his shot. BoHo worked hard on all aspects of his game since his rookie season. Petey has gained strength and has worked on his overall game while becoming one of the best all-around players in the NHL. Something just isn't right upstairs with Boeser. And it goes far beyond his late dad's declining health and inevitable passing.....that's life unfortunately. Doesn't seemed motivated nor determined. 9 goals in 41 games this season at this stage in his career is absolutely ridiculous.

    Bone dry Boeser.

Most nights he never broke a sweat.

Rutherford; “ when I came on board I thought we needed minor surgery. Now it looks like we need major surgery”. ??? A few minutes later he says we don’t a rebuild just a retool. These two statements baffle me. It looks like dementia to me. Throwing BB under the bus. All season  or rather since he got here. Signing miller before horvat. Another baffling blunder. Jr is destroying the team literally. Visually from a national media perspective he’s doing irreparable damage to what was a respected team to the laughing stock of the the whole league. JRs single handedly ruining this team!!!!     I’m not big on sid seixiro I think he’s got a big mouth but in this one he’s bang on

Maybe Bettman is behind JR plan?

Maybe they do enough damage where AQ sells the team?

    Maybe that's the real plan?
