  1. The negativity on CDC and in the Vancouver media are related. I'm positive that those who pollute each and every thread with the same crap over and over again probably blog for horse sh%t media such as Canucks Way, or any of the other "media". Remember Guardian, and how how he disappeared after Botch (RIP) died? These guys only gets hits because they feed crap onto the forum then blog about the "problems" and suddenly they're relevant. Kinda explains why they can't discuss, just regurgitate.
  2. God, I'm getting so tired of the same old negative BS from the same old negative posters. They couldn't stomach a "rebuild or a retool", they think it's easy to win in this league, etc. I'm positive that some of these guys are actually so called Bloggers that come on here to stir then blog about discontentment in the fan base. I was happy when Benning was hired, I'm still happy he's running the show. Since 1970, this is the best pool of players I've been excited for, and I'm tired of BS win now, coulda had so and so, I wanted this entitled keyboard warriors. I signed on here years ago hoping to find fans of the team. All I see now is a few haters that have polluted EVERY THREAD over the last 5 years continuously because they think winning is easy. These same posters will be on here within 3 years of changes demanding everyone is fired again. It seems never-ending. Go find another team to Bit+h about! Any joy that I have over being a Canucks fan has been taken from me by a few people because in their little minds, they know how to build teams better than people who are paid to do so. I don't mind "discussion" but on here either you hate or you don't know anything. I'm out of here, I'll continue to cheer for my team and try to find some positive fans to talk to, but this place has become a bit of a cesspool.
  3. Yeah sorry Provost, sometimes I confuse Green haters and Benning haters. The bottom 6 may not score as much as I'd like, but you still need guys that can forecheck, play hard minutes and show the younger guys that those things are important at this level. We might score more with better offensive players but I think we'd be losing more games because lack of defensive awareness. Seems people just want the offence but guys like Beagle and Sutter have their place in helping teams win games. I'm not saying they are the best bottom 6 but it'll take a little more patience as the team finishes building. I see their value. Whats "kept us" at the bottom of the standings has been poor puck battles and puck management, which you must admit, is showing signs of getting better, hence why I've said they're still learning what works and doesn't at this level. Goaltending is coming around also.
  4. Some placeholders are better and maybe give you a better chance of being competitive, but cost a little more. You seem to forget that the team is trying to battle for wins while the young guys learn what works and doesn't at this level. Sure there are players that can fill the bottom 6 for cheaper but then you would be complaining about Banning icing an AHL team. Me thinks you just like to complain. Are you not being entertained or are the losses to crushing for your ego? Personally I'm enjoying this rebuild, I'm happy with Green and Benning, and watching the team get better. Anyone paid an NHL salary to coach is an NHL caliber coach. Christ there are only 32 jobs available, and every coach has warts!
  5. I too have been around since 1970 and regardless of your Green hating opinions, I think this team is WELL COACHED and on the verge of being very competitive. I'm entertained by their play, and can see some good years coming up. Listen, they may never win a cup, or they may win several. If you can't see and be happy with that, than whats the point of being a fan? I too, am a true fan
  6. Man, 3 wins in a row, the fight to drag out a poorly played game for a win, and some people on here are crying. I see a team starting to figure things out, and they're mad we didn't win so they could really tell us how they feel! lol, good win!!!! And great coaching!!!
  7. Mine too! Moving to Ainsworth in May. Always liked Cherry, but typical of today, if you don't conform you're busted.
  8. Sorry AV, they're only shortsighted moves in your head, most of us understand the whys and hows.
  9. Thanks for the spelling lesson lol. Where we differ is I see his plan and what he is trying to achieve. You and some others think you can make moves up and down your lineup and with other teams easily. You have your "narrative" hence all the bit#hing on nearly every thread. Tell me how would you build a team and in what time frame? It's easy to throw crap at the wall, truth is your ego can't take the team losing so you lash out. It doesn't matter, win or lose, the day's go on. You're free to cheer on whoever, I'm free to enjoy this build and what JB has planned. Relax, sports is a diversion from real life issues. The owners will make whatever decisions they make, whether you guys agree or not. I just get tired of having every thread bombarded with sh$t from people whose ego's can't take losing. I get P.O ed after losses too but I try to get over myself lol. Let's hope for a well played game, Go Canucks Go!
  10. Wow! Can't believe how toxic the Vancouver Media and some of the fanbase are. Haven't lived in BC for the last 35 years but can say the other NHL markets aren't near as toxic against their teams. There seems to be an unrealistic expectation that you should be good enough to challenge for the cup every year. A new coach will not get this team closer in the next 2 years, the young players are still learning what they can and can't do at this level. As far as JB is concerned, this is the best young talent on the team and in the pool that I've seen since the start of our last run. Seems no one has the patients to see it thru. Building a team in real life ain't like a computer sim lol. Anyway, My thoughts.
  11. Easy to be negative, or "realistic" lol. I still see the give-aways (trying to make plays that aren't there), and the resulting turnovers pressuring the defence. If the young talent tightens up their passing and puck control, it'll result in less chances for the opposing team, and a better game for the Canucks. I think they're not that far off both talent wise and coaching. Maybe a new coach helps tighten them up, but I'm seeing execution as the biggest problem. My opinion, for what its worth.
  12. Yeah, about this Sakic BS. Anyone remember when his head was on the block? Or for those pointing at players having an off year, remember about 8 yrs or so ago,Ovi was struggling and the experts were writing him off as done? The people complaining about 7 wasted years, bad coaching, Dim Jim, etc, while entitled to their opinions are ignoring a lot of context to fit their narrative. It will unfold as it unfolds, but some of these "discussions" give me a headache lol. Sorry, stark facts and figures are for accounting, everything else has context.
  13. Bo has been struggling this year for some reason. He seems just a little lazy with the puck and his defensive play. I think he's trying a little to hard and he's getting caught cheating a little for offence. I remember his second year slump, he maintained his defensive structure and found his offence came from that. Hoping he figures it out soon as this team needs what he can bring.
  14. Dank, Bracket was offered a contract, he chose to leave for a promotion with the Wild. Again, please stop throwing the contents of your diaper. In 50 years this is the best pool of talent this team has had. So why do you hate Benning? You think Chia would have been a better hire?
