  1. I really enjoyed the 2nd season. It feels like they are going to do more case work and less studying of serial killers this season. But i am not complaining. I really wanted the receptionist and the main guy (sorry forgot his name) to become a thing. And to know that it was a real case about the young children in Atlanta was really hard to take. The storyline with the cops son and the murder, was annoying and felt unnecessary. (it did make me think though, how many children listen to the story of Jesus's resurrection and think it is really life :/ )
  2. okay serious question. I watched every episode of mad men through the first 3 seasons, at which point i could no longer stand it and from there i only watched the first and last episode of each season. i genuinely felt the show was so boring. Their wasn't much of a storyline, other then few people getting promoted and exposing what John Ham's former life really was. I mean no offence, but I feel as though the people who enjoyed the show are older and enjoyed being taken back to that time. is that what it was for you? because i found nothing appealing about the show. It was well acted though.
  3. I watched the first few episodes and was confused understandably. (my question is below) I felt like they were using the excuse of religion to reach people in powerful places, but it didn't feel very religious in of itself. The most telling part of the documentary to me, was hearing the leaders of the cult say we don't care what party you are in, as long as you have us in your ear. It really is interesting to see how easily people give up their beliefs and values for some political gain. This may contain spoilers, sorry! (my question) The young boys they have, that they are training - is that so they can one day go out as spiritual leaders on behalf of "the family" and mingle with politicians?
  4. LOVED BROADCHURCH. I feel in love with Olivia Coleman, which is why i was so excited they choose her to play the Queen. European television ( i watch quite a few of their shows on netflix) are just so solid. The FIVE, Happy Valley, Doctor Foster were also great!
  5. 10/10 is most probably much, i enjoy BIP more then any of their other series. I am most probably going to miss most of the season, but i am interested in what they do with demi's storyline and caelynn is clearly unstable. every show she goes on, she lies and nobody likes her. Did you watch bachelorette? how did you like hannah and her season?
  6. I know a lot of people talk down to reality television shows and i understand that. With that being said life is so serious and the world is going to crap and stupid TV like this gives me a release from real life problems, so i also love this show! I feel like hannah is too young and on this show for a good time rather then a husband. (there should be an age requirement in my opinion) Some of the guys seem promising, I'm disappointed that she sent the box king and the guy with the deaf family home. They seemed like good guys, who would have taken this seriously. The sleeping around turned Jesus loving guy comes off so fake, and the justin timberlake lookalike seems like he has anger management issues :/
  7. the disappearance of madeleine mccain (netflix documentary?) 7/10 the documentary follows the case of a young 3 year old British girl who goes missing in a tourist city in Portugual while on vacation with her mom and dad and twin 1 year old siblings. She and her siblings were sleeping in an apartment while her parents and their friends were eating at a restaurant nearby. The show seems a little pointless as the girl is still missing (so you get no real answers) but it goes into detail about the case and the investigation after by two different governments and the parents individual efforts. I felt it was drawn out to for no reason and the documentary was pointless other then to raise awareness that the young girl is still missing and to keep an eye out. Also, I'm on the younger side (mid 20's) but my understandings is this was one of the more popular disappearances worldwide, why do you think that was - compared to the other 100's of kids who go missing?
  8. sometimes these big award winning films i feel really let me down....
  9. Escape Room - 7/10 It is kind of scary that the movie came out just as there were stories in the news about people dying in an actual escape room. I thought it was very well done, and had multiple interesting storylines that they worked into the escape rooms. The story is about a handful of people, with lets say unique stories - who are invited to play in an escape room for money. And things get real, real fast. The only thing i wasn't happy about is, they set it up for a sequel so you don't get a lot of the answers you are looking for and it left off an a bit of a cliffhanger.
  10. Spinning man .......... 6/10 but I'm confussed New on netflix, from the trailer it seems like a pretty typical movie of a man cheating on wife gets caught and kills the girl or something along those lines but the end left with me lots of questions that i hope someone here can clear up..... Spoilers ahead The last few scenes make it seem like before he goes to the station he happened to have been doing the same thing to the african american (maybe mixed....) student. But something about hearing the words "I love you" sends him into a tail spin and act aggressively? (that seems to be what set him off with the student that showed up near the dam dead) He clearly has a problem sleeping around that makes sense. And what is with the memory storyline and why is he remembering things that didn't happen, like killing the student?
  11. Bodyguard (BBC and netflix show) - 8/10 It was a BBC show that netflix is now advertising as an original (?) Interesting plot line and provides a unique perspective (at least for my self) about soldiers returning from war and their perspective on fighting the governments battles. It does fall for the cliche muslim terrorist storyline though...:/ The ending felt very rushed and incomplete. But the show is essentially about a former solider, turned officer who is a bodyguard for a politician who's life maybe in danger and he maybe thing the fall.
  12. A Simple Favour - 8/10 Thriller Flick - had gone girl vibes too it. (gone girl was better) I enjoyed it, took a couple unexpected twists and turns. The trailer seemed to give the main premise of the story away but then 3/4 way through the story developed and took a turn which had everyone in the theatre on the edge of their seats.
  13. The 100 - 8/10 Binged it on netflix in a week. Interesting concept, except i felt like the same storylines were repeated season after season. Season 3 and season 4 dragged on, but season 5 picked up again. Next season might be the last - looking forward to that.
  14. Tried my best to watch it, halfway through season 3 i just couldn't do it. At that point i just started watching the first and last episode of every season. Still don't get the appeal and it was a strange ending to say the least....
