  1. If Kanye does run, then it would be as an independent. My concern would be that it would split the votes. People who don't like Trump would vote for Kanye instead of Biden. Thus possibly allowing Trump to get re-elected.
  2. So basically drinking and music. Guess they are there for the social gathering aspect. Something to do.
  3. No. Probably publicity stunt. He didn't file necessary paperwork. He only has a few days left to get it done.
  4. It's because it's 6pm somewhere.
  5. Of course you should see a spike when there is enough testing kits available. But the determining factor is when was it? Was it in May? Thus the increase? If so...then how would you explain June? Will that also be the reasoning for July and August and September if cases continue to climb? More than likely it is a combination of increased testing and lack of social distancing (in the USA). There was a graph (posted here) that showed the USA not flattening the curve, with the EU graph flattening the curve. Quite revealing of the poor job the USA is doing.
  6. Thanks. I've been listening to that guy more since you posted his videos. He makes alot of sense.
  7. I talked to some of the teachers at the end of the school year. They had no problems keeping distance between kids with a smaller class size. The challenge they said would be in September when all kids go back to school. They now have an idea of what works and what does not.
  8. Pfft. Not even close. The bird is looking the other way.
  9. So what is your view point on this video?
  10. Senate strips provision from intelligence bill requiring campaigns to report foreign election help https://www.google.ca/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/06/30/politics/senate-removes-ban-foreign-election-help/index.html (CNN)The Senate will incorporate the annual intelligence policy legislation into the National Defense Authorization Act -- but only after stripping language from the intelligence bill that would have required presidential campaigns to report offers of foreign election help. *********** Really now. So much easier for Trump to line his pockets from Foreign countries.
  11. Arizona doctors worry as ICUs fill: 'We’re leaving the hospital sometimes in tears' http://www.msn.com/en-ca/health/medical/arizona-doctors-worry-as-icus-fill-we-re-leaving-the-hospital-sometimes-in-tears/ar-BB168Syp?li=AAggFp4&ocid=ientp Hospitals in Arizona are seeing an intense wave of new coronavirus cases, doctors at the Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix told ABC News on Monday, and it is filling up their intensive care units and pushing their nurses to the brink. EDIT: wanted to added these following paragraphs for emphasis. "My concern is that we're not going to have a break before the big flu/COVID-19 wave that's going to come this winter. And who's going to be staffing that? If residual workers get sick, we're not going to have the workforce," Dreiffus said, noting the combination will be "devastating." "It stands to crumple our health system across the board," Dreiffus added. *********** It is only going to get worse. They had a chance to Flatten the Curve but chose to open up the Economy. This is the price they will pay.
  12. US buys up world stock of key Covid-19 drug http://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/us-buys-up-world-stock-of-key-covid-19-drug/ar-BB16abd2?li=AAggFp4&ocid=ientp The US has bought up virtually all the stocks for the next three months of one of the two drugs proven to work against Covid-19, leaving none for the UK, Europe or most of the rest of the world. ********* Not surprised.
  13. Court reinstates Wisconsin voting restrictions in victory for Republicans http://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/newspolitics/court-reinstates-wisconsin-voting-restrictions-in-victory-for-republicans/ar-BB16a4OC?ocid=ientp A federal appeals court reinstated significant voting restrictions in Wisconsin on Monday, handing Republicans a victory just months before the November election in one of the country’s most important battleground states. The ruling reinstates a Republican-backed law that allows local election officials to offer only two weeks of early voting prior to election day. ************** Republicans making it difficult to vote in what will be an extraordinary difficult times to hold an election.
  14. Family patriarch dies, 28 relatives test positive for coronavirus after ‘minimal contact’ http://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/family-patriarch-dies-28-relatives-test-positive-for-coronavirus-after-minimal-contact/ar-BB169YTu?li=AAggFp4&ocid=iehp A California family is grieving the loss of their patriarch to COVID-19, and battling at least 28 cases of it within their clan. "I just believe it happened through minimal contact," Richard, 27, said, adding that his family had been following quarantine policies and that his dad visited three households not knowing he was infected. There were no big parties, no get-togethers, Richard explained. Some of his father's visits to other households lasted no more than 10 minutes. Richard, who told CNN he and his father decided to quarantine together after they tested positive to avoid spreading the virus to other members of the family, described a particularly frightening moment when he woke up, struggling to breathe. His father used his last bit of energy to sit up and check on him. "I woke up gasping for air. I couldn't breathe," he said. "I'm like, 'Dad, I don't think I'm going to make it.' That was the last thing I told my father, and the last thing my dad saw was his son suffocating." *************** This is so sad. Appears they followed protocols (but then again California had loosen the rules a bit).
  15. Don't think this will go over well in the gun-toting states where Covid-19 delirium induces hallucinations. I can see the headlines "I thought she was a ghost and shot her"...
  16. Woman shot 4 times after snatching Nazi flag from man’s yard in Oklahoma http://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/woman-shot-4-times-after-snatching-nazi-flag-from-mans-yard-in-oklahoma/ar-BB169XlE?li=AAggFp5&ocid=iehp A 26-year-old woman was shot multiple times after grabbing a Nazi flag from an Oklahoma man's yard on an early-morning dare over the weekend, according to authorities in Hunter, Okla. Homeowner Alexander John Feaster, 44, was arrested without incident on complaints of shooting with the intent to kill and assault and battery with a deadly weapon. Sheriff's deputies also seized a trove of weapons from his home. ************ Didn't know where to put this story so figured it would be best in this thread. Just curious...what is the stance of flying a NAZI flag? Wouldn't that be a no-no or perfectly acceptable?
  17. ‘Our Luck May Have Run Out’: California’s Case Count Explodes http://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/us/our-luck-may-have-run-out-californias-case-count-explodes/ar-BB167I8p?li=AAggNb9&ocid=iehp Over the past week California’s case count has exploded, surpassing 200,000 known infections, and forcing Mr. Newsom to roll back the state’s reopening in some counties. On Monday, he said the number of people hospitalized in California had risen 43 percent over the past two weeks. “I’m frustrated because it’s not that we don’t know what to do,” Dr. Pan said. “We know what to do. We’re just not doing it.” *********** 2nd Wave has official come for USA. Or maybe it's that the 1st wave never left.
  18. Houston hospitals stop reporting COVID-19-related data after reaching base ICU capacity: report https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/houston-hospitals-stop-reporting-covid-19-related-data-after-reaching-base-icu-capacity-report/ar-BB1656hh Data released by a major Houston hospital system no longer includes information about the hospital system's ICU capacity, a change reportedly made just a day after it previously was updated to show the hospitals reaching 100 percent base capacity due to the COVID-19 outbreak. *********** What was their mantra? Oh right. Give me Freedom or Give me Death. Looks like they will be getting both.
  19. Hugo's Tacos closes temporarily after employees are harassed by mask-averse patrons https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/hugos-tacos-closes-temporarily-after-employees-are-harassed-by-mask-averse-patrons/ar-BB165vpV?li=BBnbfcL Hugo's employees who have offered customers masks have been met with a barrage of stubborn but similar responses, Kohne said: "You can't tell me what to do. You can’t infringe on my personal liberties." ********** This is why the USA is experiencing a surge. People who don't care about anyone else but themselves.
  20. Fact check: Dishonest Trump video twists Democrats' quotes to make it sound like they endorsed riots https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/fact-check-dishonest-trump-video-twists-democrats-quotes-to-make-it-sound-like-they-endorsed-riots/ar-BB167kQ8 An egregiously deceptive campaign video posted on Facebook and Twitter by President Donald Trump on Saturday takes quotes from prominent Democrats out of context to wrongly make it seem as if they had encouraged or defended violence. *********** Trump supporters will lap it up and when confronted with the truth spout out #Fakenews. Keep drinking the Kool-Aids Trumpeteers. PS: Was looking for the correct slang for Trump Supporters and it came up with the below. Urban Dictionary: Trump Supporter Trump Supporters: A group of dumbass racist mother ******* who hate Muslim, Latin & African American communities. I blocked out the profanity.
  21. Psst. It's summer. School is over.
  22. Also bad is the guy (in that facebook snapshot) Wayne Gordy posted a comment "you have the option to unfollow this guy if you want". Like literally sticking your head in the sand and not acknowledging that this is also part of the problem. Turning a blind eye to these types of behaviour will only encourage it.
  23. Yeah but it's the TV deals and NHL that will dictate the times games starts. There is probably an increased % of viewership across all time zones if they can get games started earlier. Cuz let's face it...everyone is hungry for sports and would probably tune in to it.
  24. Lol. Games will never be for the viewership in the West. It's always been for the East.
