  1. Tend to agree with costal. Every fan base see’s nhl reffing as either 1 sided or incompetent. A major part of the problem in my view is second ref. Far too often we see the back ref make calls he can’t possibly see and yet the call is made. Of course early season weak calls don’t help either. Even if refs called a perfect game most fans would still be unhappy.
  2. Think the canucks will have a rough start to the season. To be expected with all the new faces and sub par goaltending. Once team gets used to each other we will see a slight uptick in games won. Figure nucks will be 3rd or 4th worst team. 80 point season. Elias will put up 100 points 25g 75 apples. Wins Calder. Brock will pot 30g and 25 apples Bo will put up 60 with a 30x30 season. Goldobin will surprise with 18g and 25 assists. Jake will pot 15g and 15 assists. This will be the year canucks finally draft first over all.
  3. Iam not overly concerned about Erickson atm. Buyout for him seems highly unlikely. Gagme can hit the trail though. Rather redundant at this point with the likes of Goldy and Dahlen waiting in the wings. Given the nasty run of bad luck concerning injuries. I have little doubt those young guns get a chance to play regardless of Gagme being here.
  4. Absolutely! Elias’s shot amazes me. How he generates so much power in his shot. Kids gotta have that wiry strength.
  5. Hughes shot is weak but, from what I’ve seen he gets it to the goalie. More important than having a huge shot imo( see ankle buster Edler). If he can continue to sneak shots thru at the nhl level maybe we see a resurgence of Erickson cleaning up the garbage around the net.
  6. It would be awesome if Tryamkin retuned to the fold. In his last season at various times he showed just how big a game changer he can be. Unfortunately like many have pointed out before his consistency was lacking. I just hope the khl is difficult enough for Tryamkin to continue to develope properly.
  7. Agree with Gadj. It’s part of his game. I have no doubts that Horvat can do it or any of our highly skilled players. Just hadn’t noticed net front presence as being a big part of their games.
  8. Burns has an excellent shot. Weak wrister was a poor choice of words. Should have said he takes a lot off his shot to get the puck through traffic. Not sure who we have to play that gritty net front presence. Tipping pucks in or grabbing greasy rebounds.
  9. What I would really enjoy is for van to be bubble team and, then jump everybody for the number 1 pick.
  10. Iam quite hopeful we can get Beagle! I would like to see Bo’s defensive duties reduced a little. Few more ozone starts ect. Although Fortunatly for us Iam not so sure Bo would like any of his current duties reduced.
  11. Yes sir! Sooo bright Also like the fact that a number of our prospects seem to have that extra big game gear. Petterson, Dahlin, Juolevi just to name a few.
  12. Kinda thought the extra wieght set him back at prospects camp last year. Juolevi rebounded nicely imo. Sami can only benefit our d prospects. I hope the nucks can get him over here. Think he would be far more useful to us here as opposed to Finland.
  13. Like this pick. Great hands and, skating. Like someone else mention seems like every tube vid is of him sticking up for himself. Which I love.
  14. Yes I can see the Karlsson comparison. Very smooth skaters. The best part is Quinn has lots of time work on his shot. Perhaps Petterson can show him how to unload. Still amazes me how much stank Petterson can get on his shot.
  15. Quinn may not have a booming shot but, in the vids I’ve seen he seems to have a knack for getting the puck to the net. Maybe more important than a hard shot. How many goals has Burns got with that weak wrister that he always seems to get through a crowd?
  16. Tram definitely has the tools to be an nhl regular. Plenty of shifts he showed the type of poise with the puck that is rare. Unfortunately, often the shift after would be a complete tire fire defensively. Tram needs to be more consistent shift to shift and, game to game. Really don’t think the khl is the Leauge to help his development. As for the conditioning stint. Nucks shouldn’t have gave him a deal that said he couldn’t be sent to ahl.
  17. Any chance we can pry coach Salo away from Finland to coach our, up and coming dmen. Think Salo could really help Hughes and Joulevi.Particularly with getting hard shots too the net.
  18. Awesome! For a moment there I thought we were getting Zedina. Hughs could step in this year and make an impact.
  19. I get it. Just thought it was worth pointing out that WD at least had a tender that didn’t let the first goal of the game in within the first 5 seconds. Not really sure why ppl keep crying over spilt milk. It’s over. WD didn’t work out for the nucks! Not the first or the last coach to get shown the door. Personally I don’t think WD ever really had a chance at being a long term solution in van as coach. Didn’t have the horses to run the system he wanted to use. This I think was WD’s biggest problem.
  20. If green had Miller in net, how much better would the nucks have been this year?
